I added 1" buckles to the end of each strap. It took me 5 minutes to do it. Now I just buckle the two straps instead of running four strap ends thru the loops. I keep a few spare buckles just in case one breaks.

I finally got them mounted. Maybe some people are more adept at doing this. I wish now I had ordered the aluminum hard panniers. Or a different soft pannier.

Can u do a video on "assembling" the TUSK Olympus Pannier Bag Mount Plate "Universal" Pannier Rack. Tools required, proper Tusk Rack frame needed. No video or proper instructions exist. The 9 step picture instruction is poor quality and the written instructions alternate between regular Tusk plate and Universal plate which are constructed different (two worlds apart). Thanks!

This is helpful. Is it possible to route straps under the seat for two up riding? I ride a bmw 850 GSA.

Yes, they fit under the seat of my 850 GSA. However be careful where you position the strap buckles so your seat latches properly. Bags are functional but a little fiddly. Previously used the first gen Nelson Rigg bags which are waterproof. These look better but the Nelson rigg bags may be more functional. Also the new Nelson rigg bags look nice but I don’t know how well they function. I also don’t know how well the quick release racks work on the tusk bags on this application. Bear in mind my bike has factory racks installed.

Do you need to use the over the top straps? They look awful.

We have had customers run these bags without the top straps whole using the while using the Tusk Pannier Rack Soft Luggage Mount ( www.rockymountainatvmc.com/parts/tusk-pannier-rack-soft-luggage-mount-p ). But we recommend using the straps as they are shown in this video.

Hi, I have installed very similar pannier racks. I can see that you use 2 straps to cross over the passenger seat. Because I travel mostly 2up, I'm worry the passenger the passenger have to seat on the strap and be a bit uncomfortable. Are the necessary?

Wow, just got mine and they really suck. The mounting is complicated and difficult, they're hard to get into and out of, and the roll top opening is smaller than the inside of the bags so it's hard to put large roll tops inside.

How do I install only one bag. I do not need two most of the time and do not want the extra weight and straps on the bike?

These are the most ridiculous mounting system there is ! Good quality bags but you sent me hardware for the hard panniers ! These are sloppy and don’t mount as the video shows. I have miles of extra straps and they don’t stay in place. Very unhappy with Tusk.

I just got mine and I agree. They're super annoying to mount, don't stay in place unless you ultra tighten the cinch straps and are super annoying to get into!! I hope they take returns.

If you want to remove when arriving somewhere overnight, they suck… so complicated to get on/off easily. Try getting inside when it’s raining! Nice looking, but not functional.

@@rmatvmc yes, but that video was telling us the benefits that it fits on any brackets. So you agree that the fitting you showed is sub optimal?
