How To Install VLAND Headlights with HIDs On Any FR-S, 86, Or BRZ 

I have an FRS so I’m gonna have to watch the wiring over and over 😂

Can I ask a question: Do we connect the white wire (DRL) to the ACC power source in the fuse BOX? OR to the parking light when we turn the headlight switch to 1st position? Thank you

I bought some off a buddy who had a BRZ, I have a 2013 FRS. With that being said, I need to get just the 6pin to 8pin Adapter, Flasher Relay, and the ATM-LP circuit piece? Also, bulb wise, regular H11 Leds fit? Thanks in advance for your help!

Hi. I've bought the lights with the recommended bulbs but there is a connection issue. From the one pin connection to the two pin in the headlight. Any ideas? It mentioned that it required something called a ballast? D2S bulbs

If you're wiring the white DRL to the fusebox, do you still need to tap into the white wire on the OEM turn signal? I have mine tapped to the OEM turn signal already, can I just keep it there and tap a wire to the fusebox or do I need to remove the white DRL wire from the OEM turn signal?

My high beams are working but not the low beams. Using the OLM kit with the ballast for the HID’s, any ideas on what’s going on?

How are these holding up for you? Any fogging issues or moisture inside?

when you bought the headlights, did it come with the wiring for the 2013-2016 frs's or did you have to get those wires from a 3rd party

Hey, Nick. So I finally got all my parts in and planning to assemble everything together tomorrow. However, I am having a problem fitting my h7 hid bulbs into the headlight socket. Is the green retaining ring supposed to be used for the h7 bulbs or are they a "universal" bracket for other bulbs. In other words, do I use the green bracket for my h7 his bulbs or do I use the metal/projector seating. If you know and can help, I would very much appreciate it!

For tapping the fuse box, how did you come up with 7.5 amp resistor? Wouldn't 10 be more appropriate or no?

Do you still have to do all the wiring if u have a 2014 brz or is it just plug and play?

I just tried installing the olm ones on my Brz which already gave the 6k hid installed, but the only thing is that the boomerangs are not lighting up. Any idea why?

Does ur boomerang turn on Soonest ur car is on? Or do u have to turn the light switch for ur boomerang to run? Because on my stock headlights soonest I would turn the car on the day time running light would turn on

our scion frs will not accept the blue adapter plug on the harness that came with the headlights am I missing something?

I agree that the sequential turn signals look better slowed down so I'm going to get an adjustable flash relay too, however I see the one you linked is a 2 pin and I believe the stock relay is an 8 pin. Did you have something else or wire it up different the the OEM relay?

do you have any pictures of the light output at night? i know a lot of people are having problems with light output, so i’m wondering if this fixes those issues. thanks!

Hey! I purchased these Vland headlights for my 2014 BRZ but im having a hard time installing my AUXBEAM H7 led bulb. The bulb just doesmnt want to fit in the housing. Any tips? Great video btw!

At 5:38, I can’t get the red and black male ends to go into the green and black female slots. Idk how but it’s just not fitting

When wiring the black wire(ground) does it matter if you wire it to the spot you showed or can I just t-tap it to the black wire on the bumper turn signals? Thanks in advance, so far your video is the only one I could find that shows how to wire the boomerangs to always be on as DRLs.

I installed h7 bulbs like they recommend and the visibility is worse than driving without the bulbs in haha

I installed these headlights on my 2013 BRZ. I just plugged in the plugs without the adapters. Everything fit. I had the DD Always-On module, but unfortunately the effect is not working with these headlights. I am not getting any light from the boomerangs unless I flip on the stalk switch that turns on the headlights or the one below it that turns on everything except the headlights. I'll have to play around with things. The D4S bulbs from the stock system will not fit the cover, but I wanted to leave the ballasts and lights on the stock headlights, so I can sell them. I'll likely get some aftermarket HID's. Some say to use the D2S bulbs. Some say to use H7 HID Conversion kits, but maybe this is a D2S bulb. I dunno. Any insight?

What if your FRS already has HID with a ballast, how do you hook it up? Or do you have to buy a HID kit regardless?

how many pins does the original plugin have that's already on the headlight? i have a 2017 86

Im having trouble with the main harness for my vlands. The vlands come with a 6 pin connector to plug into the main harness and the main harness is an 8 pin. How do I fix this

I know I’m kinda late to this video but I need to know where you got the connector harness for the older brz. I just got my headlights and they didn’t come with the connector so my drl and my hid motors don’t work currently.

I have a quick question for you regarding wiring up the turn signal, DRL, and ground wires. Couldn't you also have used a T-tap connector to join the wires right into the OEM turn signal wires (where the original turn signal is) on either side?

So I recently bought these and had them professionally installed on my 2015 brz but the Led turn signals don't appear to work? Whenever I use the turn signal function it uses the "Eyebrow" to signal the turn by flashing on and off repeatedly. Do you know how I could get the yellow leds to go on?

I purchased the VLAND head lights for my BRZ, but I have a problem other way around, my BRZ connection socket is 8 pin and the headlights socket is 6 pins, is there is way to solve this problem?

Never use a splice connector. Garbage connection and always fails.

what HID kit is thits? I also dm'd you on instagram. Kit I bought doesn't fit and doesn't come with its own gasket
