Install it in a *Optical DVD* get a legit Copy of the *Windows Ultimate 7 ISO* You can find it on an *Archive website* Check if it has *viruses* I recommend getting "Integrate 7 Script" I can't post the link cause *"RU-vid"* like *Windows 10* is a Fucking Asshole and will *Delete* my comment. just look up *Integrate 7 Script* It will download and update all the drivers to *November 2021* Follow the instructions closely on the page When You use the CMD use it as *administrator* the good thing about this program is that it can detect a *Legit Windows ISO* You'll have to *wait* an *hour* for all the *drivers* and *updates* to be *finished* then it will *Remodify the ISO* Use the New *Windows 7 ISO* and burn a Blank DVD with *IMG Burn* After that. Restart your Computer. Press *ESC* or *F10* or whatever your command to the *Bios* requires. Set the *Boot Priorities* to *Cd-rom* Disable *Fast Boot* Disable *Legacy USB Support* *Save all Changes* Then it will *Restart* Asking You to *Type* any *Key* and *Windows 7* install will *boot* If it *Freezes* with all these *components* Go to your *Bios* and if it has that option which mines *Fucking* doesn't. Switch your *Bios* boot from *UEFI* to *Legacy* and try again. It should be to *work* this *time.* Look for *"Loomis Installing Windows 7 through USB"* or *"XP"* he has a more *indepth* explaination. If it doesn't *I* don't know what to *tell* You. I'm in the same *Boat* Still trying to *figure* this Colossal *Clusterfuck*

@@johncastle1984 I used Rufus to flash the ISO to my USB, i installed from 10, and it still wouldn't boot. I tried reflashing several times, and it didn't work. Do i have to use an optical disk or can i still use USB? I have a VM of 7 too, and i don't know if it'll actually work with the VMDK.

And it's *GOP* instead of *VGA* (The reason for your problem) I mean You can still use a *USB* but You gotta follow the steps I told You. Installing the *Drivers* necessary. You gotta go to your *partition* on *Disk Management* when You already made a *Partition* to install Window 7 if You have. I don't know. I guess it's easier to do everything on VMware, because it will emulate any drive. Not really my *Style* because of the *Fucking Screen* feeling like a video game emulator not going to complete fullscreen. Maybe it's different on a Desktop. But I like the full effect. Anyways select the main Hard drive C where You partition for windows 7. And *right click* go to *Properties* and go to *Volume* to find out if it's *GPT* or *MBR* If it's *"MBR"* You have to set your *Rufus* flashdrive parition for *ISO* to *"MBR"* and *Vice Versa* Since you're using *USB* try to enable *Legacy USB Support* and set your *Bios* to *Legacy* or *UEFI* there is a video by *"Oldyoldlandold oldy"* that is a Seriously Fucking *Complex* and *Hilarious Video, on how to *painstakenly* install *Windows 7* I'm talking about *stripping* from patch to patch, data to data. I don't really recommened that. As I'm really starting to find out for myself. But there is a *clue* that he left. there something about mixing the windows 10 *"bootx64.efi"* and copying it to the *"Bootx64.efi"* of *Windows 7* and disabiling *"vga.sys"* and replacing it with *"GOP"* something. I have to look it up. So that way it can be able for the *computer* to think that's it's *running* Windows 10 when it's *originally* running *Windows 7* So that's the next *Projeckt* But the *problem* is *clear* no matter how many *iterations* of *Windows ISO* you burn into a *Disc* or *USB* it's still gonna do the same shit. Now I don't wanna overload You with everything. I recommend like I said , look up *loomis* *"How to Install Windows 7 on a USB 2020"* and *"Windows XP or Windows Server 2003"* on his channel. He will explain it thoroughly and better than I have. If I find anything else. I'll re-update this post and send it your way. I'm still trying to *Reverse Engineering* this Shit without risking any chances of *Bricking* my *Bios* but the Biggest problem is that *My* Bios doesn't have a *Legacy* option. So without that I can't know for certain. Unless there is an *Upgrade* from My *American Megatrend* Bios that will allow me to have that *option* and I don't want to really take that risk. If there is a way of Re-modifying *Windows 7* and replacing *vga.sys* with *GOP* than I'm going for it. Because I'm only making the changes to the *ISO* not the *Bios* or the *Computer.*

U need to delete that disk when I upgraded my windows 10 to 10 pro I got this problem but mage to fix by right clicking and deleting the disks but doing this will remove any data on the disk

You can use rufus to make a win7 iso bootable in GPT format and install. OR you can covert your all drives to MBR by using any partition manager software. e.g AOMEI or EaseUS

Have you got the iso and Shrinked Volume in Disk Management?

george9559 he gets the error because his bios is in uefi so his disk is gpt so if he converts it he has to go to legacy mode

Its a lost cause. I tried so many methods but the drivers aren't compatible. When I got close and used a multi OS install USB. Luckily it got through the install. Yet it created a new black boot screen that negated the original and erased the Win 10 boot screen. I was okay with that up till the point where it said Windows 7 Setup and I clicked it. To which took me to the classic Windows Logo screen and then it just hangs. Meaning you are basically stuck on just the Bios Menu if you are trying to do anything on your pc. Basically you are just stuck with Win 10.

Thank goodness you pointed that out.. was thinking I would never get this puppy working. Many thanks indeed
