2nd option for me. Thank you for this. Here I am in 2022, trying to install windows without USB or Disk to another drive on a older pc. I searched for a couple of months and then, today, I gave in and called MS (tier 1) but they couldn't help. This, with another RU-vid post, did the trick.
Finally an helpful guide. The EasyBCD solution was especially what helped me and needed. All the other guides just show how to do a reset of Windows which is what i dont need

the second option does not work for me followed everything but when i choose to boot from another existing system and click NST WinPE Image it just starts my windows as usual does not start the installation proccess
That's not wise, what if you want to clean partition C and do a clean install. The second partition is better. In fact, I make a separate partition for my DATA and put windows on the other.
Is the 2nd method safe? Because I'm going to try it. Does it harm to my laptop ? I'm going to install a Windows 8.1 lite edition (because I only have this) will it work? Pls reply!
Just going to buy a flash drive. Tried this but when I change my boot option to my SSD after all the steps it says there isn’t a operating system on it.

so this wont oeverwrite my current rig ?? trying to install for the wife for her rig Edit Followed the steps and it wanted to boot in safe mode but has only kept the win10 on the C: and not The J: formatted to c: to boot in second rig. Still nothing. Why is it so freaking hard to clean install !
как я разговариваю на английском, когда изучил его ) надо сказать, есть ещё один способ, похожий на второй. отводим раздел, распаковываем туда образ и, без использования стороннего ПО загружаемся с uefi. некоторые скажут, что это нонсенс, но это есть, работает. правда, так сказать, не всегда uefi может запустить установщик с раздела с ntfs, но в случае с fat32, это работает
lmmfao go get it from a torrent file and install it for free with a lic and no it wont show the activate window as long as you know wtf you are doing lol if you have to buy a lic do it from one of microsoft's legit secondary sales, it is about 20 % the normal price and yes if you must pay thats worth it orrrrr borrow a friends cd and copy it trust me ms wont give a crap this is like 15 yr old news sorry if it was 10 yrs ago id say uh ok lol
I tried the second method to convert my 32 bit pc to 64 bit..... Amazingly I got it successfully. But my suggestion is to after converting by this method, please reinstall the windows from the original Microsoft 64 bit windows.
