HOW TO INTERPRET THE LIKERT SCALE || 5-POINT LIKERT SCALE

Likert scale itself is inherently not normal (Aboy, 2023). Likert data is treated as ordinal variable. The appropriate measure of average and dispersion is Median and IQR. Median is less sensitive to outliers and skewed distributions compared to mean. IQR is less influenced by extreme values compared to SD.

Hello sir, our teacher told us when using likert scale we should use median or mode. We chose to get the median rating. Paano po kaya yong table of Interpretation noon, need po kasi ng basis. is it mandatory that we should give the highest value for strongly agree as 5 and strongly disagree as the lowest one which is 1?? Or i can just give the ranges in any order as i want??

Hello po sir, can you check po if tama yung pagkuha ko ng weighted mean kasi po pinaptapos po yung chapter 4-5 namin ng hindi tinuro yung mga formula na dapat namin gawing. Kaya nag sasarili nalang kami. So example po is, 1(0)+2(5)+3(23)+4(2) total 87 after po nun idinivide ko po ng 30 which is our respondents po total po is 2.9?? Which mean po ba yung verbal interpretation niya po is Agree? Base sa ginawa niyo pong Interpretation. Tama po ba?
