If I wanted to get rid of my 12 volt plug, I'd buy the Mopar one. Every install I've seen shows the unit mounted elsewhere to keep the 12 volt outlet. Time to redo this video. I was just getting ready to hit the purchase button!

I can’t seem to find the “mopar trailer brake plug” on my 2022 Gladiator Rubicon. What gives?

Hi Matt, thanks for your comment. Normally the connector is up under the steering column or kick panel area of the vehicle - if you are unable to locate it, it might be worth getting in touch with Jeep directly to see if there is a different location.

My 2021 JTR controller plug was taped up to another cable with electrical tape. It's next to a metal bar piece that runs along the side wall & follow that up under the dash. I found it with the help of another video who was installing the Mopar brake controller.
