Hope you don't mind, but I noticed at time stamp 5:15in your video the bracket that holds the hanger to the power flow unit needs to be flipped with long part down in the wheel adjuster and lay flush on deck. I could be wrong, though. I like your videos there very helpful. Have a blessed evening.
I KNEW that damn chute flap was supposed to come off! my dad was arguing tooth and nail it has to stay on, and he even cut a huge slot into the flap so that the belt goes through it! i'm taking that damn flat off and chucking it. we even installed the hydraulic mulch door!!! that flap adds almost an entire foot onto the width and i've been mowing with the left edge only for MONTHS.
Thanks. I am not sure. I think the bagger is based on the model and deck size. I am not well versed in all the different models of the baggers and what mowers they fit. This was the first and only bagger I have ever had. If you have your owners manual, it may list attachments and possibly indicate the right one.
Hi Josh! I just discovered your channel. I just got a new 2023 X590 with the green deck and upgraded leather seat this week. I noticed you left the mower deck discharge chute off for the power flow install. I do see that you left the aluminum bracket for the chute still attached to the deck. The manual says to leave the chute on and to cut out a section of the chute to clear the drive belt. I am curious as to why you left the chute off. Thanks for all your videos, as a new X590 owner I will definitely be watching more of your channel.
Thank you! I always take the chute off all my mowers when I buy them. I just don't bother with having to lift them out of the way to go between stuff. I left the chute mount on just because it wasn't in the way🤷🤪😁. Appreciate you watching and supporting the channel👊💯🙏
Sorry, I don't actually recall the number for this unit. With yours being a 48, it may require a smaller blower assembly since this one was for a 54". The dealer should be able to search it out for you or you could search the John Deere website.
Great video mate, very helpful. I’m going to purchase a unit for my X540 with the 54” deck. Does it ever get clogged up with thick grass and how do you know when the 2 bags are full ? Cheers Gary
Sorry for the delay! Thank you for watching and glad you enjoyed it. I only had a small issue with not picking up as well when the area had a lot of bare sand. I didn't get into a lot of thick grass with it but did do some really thick leaves and it did very well. Best way I noticed to tell if the bags were basically full is it gets to a point where it seems to have more blow by at the right front of the deck at the discharge chute. This seems to indicate it isn't pushing material up the tube and so that is when I check the bags. Hope this info helps👍. Thanks again and enjoy your bagger😁👊
I'm sure you know by now that you are spoused to cut the chute to a certain height AKA A,B,C,D ? I believe C would be the correct line to cut on. That's why you had such a hard time installing it and the chute was sticking out the top when you opened the bagger top. It needs to be able to move in and out with the bagger & the deck.
I didn’t show the piece that covers the pulley guard how to install. I bought a used system everything else looks great except I don’t know how to make that word that pulls back on the guard
Sorry for the delay...I couldn't remember how I mounted that bracket...was trying to research it to let you know🤪😂. Appreciate you watching!....if I find a good explanation on it, I will be sure to pass it on👍
