Very good guide. The tip to clean the side of the main brush is very useful. I want to add one point. The idling wheel in the front needs some special attention. I experienced irratic movements of the robot during cleaning cycle after using the robot for about 5 or 6 times. This happened even though I followed all the cleaning and maintenance instructions given by Ecovacs. After much discussion with the service support department of Ecovacs I finally figured out that the free movement of the idler is essential for correct movement of the robot according to the program map. If the idler catches some hair strands and such other debris its movement gets restricted and will be out of sync with the direction taken by the drive wheel. Then the robot goes "mad" and makes erratic movements. If the idler wheel is periodically removed and cleaned just like you suggested for the main brush the erratic movement of the robot can be avoided. At the end I want to say that this robotic cleaner is a rather sensitive piece of equipment unlike the regular vacuum cleaners. So the cleaning routines are important not only for efficient cleaning but also to avoid malfunction in its movement during cleaning cycle.
Sir, a good video for enlightenment to use it trouble free. I have issues related to Ecovacs 1 How to remove mopping plate from the water tank 2 I can't locate my robot on the map, physically it's charging 3 How does one fix bag in the dustbin 4 Do we have an arrangement wherein we delete a particular portion on the map and run the mopping in auto mode Kindly throw light on the issues
Thanks for watching, H M! I like the DEEBOT OZMO N8 PRO+. I also tried the latest from Roborock which I like a lot, ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-CR3ZLV1Y9Jg.html.
Thank you so much for the video. I have a problem and I ask you if you please could help me. My ecovscs 930 starts to move back from the charging station to start to clean but once it finish to move back it just keeping moving brushes but it doesnt run. Why does ir happens?
It may be confused with its location and map for some reason. Try asking it to go back to the charging station and restart. Thanks for watching and asking, Cristina! Stay safe.
Glad to hear. Thanks for watching and letting me know, Ashok! Just attached the mopping cloth and add water to the tank. When they are attached, Ecovacs 950 will vacuum and mop at the same time.
Hi, I love this maintenance video. I have the same deebot, but not quite sure what to do before I do the maintenance clean so that my vacuum doesn't get confused where its base is. Do I switch off the machine from the red button inside to do the maintenance clean? Or do I switch it off from the red button and the powerpoint switch? Or do I switch it off only from the powerpoint and leave the deebot red button on?
@@Tech4Baba I have tried this and after returning the deebot back to its docking station and switching on the red button the deebot doesn't know where it is and the blue deebot dot on the map doesn't appear. The next time I go to run the deebot it runs over the docking station and is very confused. Have you got any solutions or extra steps after returning the deebot back to the docking station after turning on the red button. Please help.
Glad it helped! Thanks for watching and letting me know, Akasya! I've had iRobots vacs before and I like the Ecovacs better. Cleaning them is about the same. Stay safe!
Question, ours was struggling to suck a little while ago and when we called ecovacs they said that you shouldn't clean the high efficient filter with water even though I'm pretty sure it says in the instructions that you're supposed to. It eventually just started working again after a few runs so we never actually found out the true issue but have you ever heard anything like that being an issue due to washing?
Good question, BertMan231! There seems to be inconsistent recommendations from Ecovacs. If the high efficient filter is washed, we need to wait for it to be completely dried (even inside the folds) before using it again. Thanks for watching and asking. Stay safe.
You can get away with washing the paper high efficiency filter but in my opinion and experiences of owning a ozmo 960 is better if you replaced the high efficiency filter.
I know this is an old video, but I'm hoping you can help me out here. I recently got this robot, and it says to switch off the robot as well as the charging dock before doing any maintenance. Will this wipe the maps the robot has made, meaning every time I clean it it will need to remap my entire house? Is there anyway to prevent this from happening?
What about the other end of the main brush? Do both ends come off? I cleaned one end, but the other won’t come off and I am still getting a BS error message re: main brush jammed.
Thanks for watching, Battling Lefty! No, the other end does not come up. It just anchors the brush on the other side. Does the brush spins freely after you cleaned it?
My ECOVACS OZMO 950 is not working properly as the laser distance seeker is malfunctioning. How to clean it. The machine is giving a massage to lightly tap it, but it's not responding.
Any tips on getting the robot onto a carpet? Sometimes he gets up on it other times he struggles.. i noticed it comes with a plastic ramp. Any tips would appreciate 🙏
Thanks for sharing. My 950 mopping plate rubber is broken. Maybe its because I am not remove the mopping cloth immediately when deebot charging. The rubber on the plate where the cloth hooked up is loose now. It makes the cloth is difficult to hook up to the plate. Have you ever experience this?
Sorry to hear that, Martha. I haven't but I only attach the mopping cloth and plate when I want to mop. I leave them off most of the time when I'm just vacuuming. Thanks for watching and sharing!
My evovac is not cleaning full room.after half cleaning it's saying cleaning cycle complete and I am not able to fix it.can you me suggest what should I do?
@ 2.55 you mentioned cleaning the brush. I observed dust wetted with water forming thick deposit on the tip of the brush and also on the brush housing sides. How to prevent this formation?
Nice video but washing the white filter (hepa) is not a good idea even it has been mentioned as "washable" by the manufacturer which causes damages on the filter. Water disorganize micron tiny holes and filter looses its main function.
@Burak Baydar, I've also heard conflicting things about Ecovacs' "washable" high efficiency filter. It's probably best to just replace it often instead. Thanks for watching and sharing, Burak! Stay safe.
Good question, Narasimhan Sevilimedu V! I've done both. When the floor is dirty, I like to vacuum first before mopping. Thanks for watching! Stay safe.
Good question, Mawan 210! I just use plain warm water. I tried it with a little Bona, amzn.to/3qYmXWf, and it worked. However, Ecovacs only recommends plain water (so it doesn't get clogged up). Thanks for watching. Stay safe!
Good question, PadmaN! I usually just cut the hair off and pull it out without removing the universal wheel. If needed, the universal wheel can be popped off using a small flat-head screw driver. Stay safe and Happy New Year!
@@Tech4Baba Thanks for this awesome video to help with maintenance although I have a 920 but thinking to upgrade to the T8. Do you have any thoughts about doing that? This one doesn’t have enough battery life and has caused me some frustration with dividing the house. I haven’t tried the mopping feature yet but looking forward to trying that.
