Have you tried keiki paste? I had alot of success using it on bare spots on all my epipremnums! you just need to score under a nose and put the paste on, I've had new growth points within a week and the leaves grew back in on the bald spots!
I just picked up one of these this week @ the Home Depot! It is so pretty in person...those leaves are amazing!!! Thank you for this detail, I appreciate it!
yeah it's defo a balance. I personally find it's easier when the pole doesn't dry too much & get hydrophobic. If you're watering quite regularly it just seeps in nicely without going too deep
I've had mine for almost 2 years now... and it's such an underrated plant! The leaves are gorgeous, super low maintenance and easy to propagate. Currently I have 2 climbing planks and one trailing. Don't ask me why, but after many attempts I got one to trail 😂 and it looks bushy and beautiful. For the longest time it wouldn't trail, only put out runners... until one time i forgot the propagation pot in a really shaded area and after a couple of weeks it started putting out leaves. Perhaps putting them in the shade is the secret for a traling basket of amplissimum.
I'm buying one right now - hadn't heard of it but loved the foliage. I'm so glad YOU did a video on it! Even though we're in vastly different environments (I'm in Tucson) your advice is always solid and adaptable to my growing space! Hope you're enjoying your visit with family and friends in California! Merry Christmas & a pest-free, delightfully planty New Year!
I bought a second, have them in Pon and remembered you did the moss pole so I'm about to join several plants on a pole! I also watched the cacti-in-semi-hydro video with Claire. I do it a lot but wasn't sure about my Aeonium Firecracker - it's now potted in Pon (we don't have Soil Ninja) and I'm looking forward to seeing how it does! Thanks! 💚
I didn't know the existence of this type of epipremnum until I received a mystery box with a variegated one! It's teeny tiny, but I'm obsessed!!! I'm sure the same care can be applied to it 🍀💃🏽 thank you Emma!!!
Omg Emma, I recently got an Epipremnum Amplissimum and was watching your video, great input for sure!! Not sure how but the comment I left was for Sydney Plant Guy, he was dancing with a humongous Manjula 😂 sry about that!
My walmaet had a bunch of these bc it's a new trending tropical. They were all looking rough and I didn't buy one. I'm kinda mad at myself. Hopefully I find another one. 🙏
I've not seen epipremnums bloom but I'm sure they do somewhere out there in the wild. Philodendrons do very very occasionally and for short periods of time. They also only bloom if they're quite mature
.. They do bloom.. The flowers look like the flowers on Peace Lilly, only way bigger.. But, they only bloom where they are, and that be on the 8 - 9 - 12 meter tall trees in Asia and when very mature (in years)..
