How To Keep Type 4 Hair Moisturized ALL WEEK | Simple and Cheap

How to keep type 4 hair moisturized all week? That is the biggest question for many naturals to date. The best technique for me has been layering. As of this video, I was using the LOC method to moisturize my hair. Meaning, in a previous step I included oil before this cream application step. So far this method has worked for me, but I feel like experimenting to see if another technique or group of products will help me reach longer hair length goals. Again, this routine has worked for the past 10 years - even after my last big chop 3 1/2 years ago. But what’s the harm in exploring? I take your suggestions seriously, so I’ll be sure to keep you updated on any hair regimen changes that I do in the future. I’ve already began. :)

Twice a week if needed, but usually life takes over and I do it once. A lot of it is feeling my hair and deciding if I need more water or more product. Sometimes simply spraying with water and retwisting is all my hair needs. I wash my hair two or three times a month now that my scalp is under control...Thank you! I’m happy to help. 💜

Thank you! My daughter has 4c hair and I'm scared to manipulate it more than once a week but now that I see that you do this at least 2x a week and your hair is thriving gives me relief. I spritz her hair with water, put a leave in, and coat with coconut oil but the next day it'll look as if I put nothing in it!

When I returned natural, I used the LOC method but I noticed it didn't leave my hair moisturize for long. Then I switched to the LCO method and I must say it has really improved my moisture game. My hair retains moisture more than ever before. But I do well to seal my ends properly with my DIY hair butter and Oil. And my DIY leave in cobditiiner (flaxseed and Aloe vera ) has been great. I Subscribed, Liked, and did Notification bell. You're very pretty. I, too, have different textures in the front (4b) and back (4c), and I am low porosity. I'm also tender-headed. I truly understand the struggle.

I have no idea how your video popped up in a notification for me but I'm glad it did! My daughter has 4c hair and really dry scalp and I've searched high and low for a good shampoo for her. I will definitely try out the Nizoral shampoo you suggested!

Oh Nizoral has worked WONDERS for me. It’s drying to the hair, so have her deep condition too. I hope it works for her too!

I have fine, thick hair, and as I'm *cough* getting older and getting greys (which seem to be more brittle!) the breakage struggle is real. I love your twists!

Hey! I’m new to your channel. I appreciate that you have actual 4C hair. I love my 4C hair, I also have some 4a and 4b strands in the mix. Also.....short hair? Where? 😄. I also have the same issue with my upstairs neighbors....they are noisy and move this all the time! 😤

Hey, new to your channel. I too am a type 4 girl with low porosity, medium to high density fine strands of hair, and I absolutely love when I come across someone with a kinkier texture as myself to possibly learn from, Thanks for sharing!

Gorgeous hair! Having reached that time of life when I'm experiencing my "own personal summer" on a regular basis, sleeping in satin scarves and bonnets is almost impossible! My head is a sweaty mess! I'd love to know what some of us more mature ladies do to protect their hair when this is the case.
