dude i been so confused with my kickflips, this was a great tutorial, i like how you replay clips a ton from dif angles, maybe if you got a go pro and did a few, just a few, for slow mo and included them, maybe even show some clips onto or off of things, then go out and do those in the streets then upload the part to thrasher magazine, then that would totally help me understand the tricks more.

You've got what I call athlete's kickflip. Lots of front foot action to get that board out in front of you. Looks super cool. A lot of beginners might struggle with this though. There's a second type of kickflip where you bring the board backward as you pop, so that your front foot moves into the flicking motion passively. It looks more basic but requires a much less powerful flick. I'll usually start session doing them that way before I start tweaking them out.

Watched hundreads of kickflip tutorials but your video got me landing for the first time today

This is me with my Heel flips, I have my OWN form to doing them and I feel 100% comfortable. Kick flip is my next thing to learn I might try today

Keep coming back to your videos man, genuinely mean this when I say you might have the best kickflip I've ever seen. So boned out. Just beautiful. I'm still have trouble bringing my back leg up and 'out', in such a way to allow shin and ankle to tweak inwards. When you do boned ollies/kickflips, how do you think about/visualise bringing back leg up? Or its probably just automatic now hey

Hi. Thank you for this video especially the troubleshooting. For the front foot do you relax it or put pressure on it before flicking it out? And also do u like curl up ur front foot while flicking out?

i cant get my front foot back on the board. i always use it to catch myself after flicking. i can land on my back foot just fine. even if i fully commit, it is just impossible to keep my front foot in the air after flicking. i’ve had this problem for 2 months now and im trying so hard. any insight will help.
