I just made this but instead of adding the main color after each stripe I did 3 rows of the first 3 colors then 4 rows of black then 3 rows of the remaining 3 colors, I had a request to make a Rasta beanie for a guy, it came out super cute. Next I am following your tutorial exactly it’s so cute.
This is so beautiful. I have tried to make it twice now and when I try and tighten the stitches at the end they are too loose I am struggling to tighten them and getting in a real mess ☹️ I am clearly doing something wrong. I am going to give it another try until I get it right. Beautiful tutorials and I do love all your projects ❤️
HI! Thank you for the wonderful videos! Can you post some pictures of someone wearing the hat please so we can get an idea of what it looks like on a person's head. Thanks!
Thank you so much!! It's a little tricky because we are social distancing due to the pandemic, and I don't share photos of my kids publicly... but I will see if I can snap one from behind sometime! If you join any of the Knitting Machine facebook groups, there are lots and lots of photos to look through with similar sized hats if that helps!
I just bought a machine and waiting for it to receive it I wanted to watch some videos before I use the machine I came across your video it’s awesome very beautiful can’t wait to to try making some wonderful things like that You do a really wonderful job and I appreciate and thank you for making this video keep up the good work it’s really been very nice to watch an example of how to knit on this machine thank you again it’s so helpful blessings to you and yours Lori
Beautiful work there! The only thing I missed is on sizes, do you cast different number of stitches for different sizes, if so how you do it because they are arranged in a circle?
I love your patterns and great video instructions. I was wondering what kind of tags to you get for your hats and also where do you get your Pom poms please?
You have a good eye! I knit that sweater for my daughter, and then I knit this hat to match her sweater :) I knit that by hand, not on a circular knitting machine-I could try to film a video on the process sometime! And yes, I'm planning to do a blanket on the knitting machine video, stay tuned in the coming weeks for that!!
Hi! For these hats, I use Loops & Threads "Impeccable" yarn, and each hat takes less than 1 skein. I don't usually count the exact yardage. Hope that helps!
I don’t know what happened to my initial response to you. I did not want to pay $300 on Amazon so I bought my Addi king size on eBay from riamaschwa in Germany for $127 plus $45 shipping. I received it in 2 weeks.
Hi I made the hat , what am I doing wrong every time I change color I make a loose not continue then I see I dropped stitches that’s only time I dropped them tried to fix I messed it up😢
I had the same problem. I’ve started holding onto both threads for an entire rotation after changing colors, then trying a firm double knot. Leaving the threads untied didn’t work for me - it caused stitches to drop. Not sure what magic she using to stop dropped stitches!
No, I wouldn't suggest using the 40 needle for this, unless you're making a newborn or a baby/toddler hat (which would be adorable), but you'd need to recalculate the rows, because it would be too long.
I did some calculations and modifications for a 40 needle machine For Newborn size (66 rows Total) 38 white 11 color rows (1color row/1 white row) 17 white For a Infant Size (80 rows) 48 White rows 12 color rows (2 rows each color, no white to separate) 20 White Rows Hope this helps!
Hey my name is Cassandra I was looking at your show I love it I want you to help me to make a hat with a my machine I want to make a letter T on a hat have you ever did that
@@thisisyourbrainoncrafts9212 I truly appreciate your kind words! And yes, I think people think I spend all day knitting, but I really spend all day video editing hahah
