Knit Cute 3D Wool Felt Hearts! Super easy in a circular knitting machine. Perfect first knitting project!. You just knit a short tube. Close the ends and do a short running stitch. Dunk it in hot water and rub for a couple minutes.
You have a Fulled or Felted Heart ❤️
Ideas to use:
Make jewelry pins, broches and pendants. Stack 3 hearts 2 of one color and one of a different color to make Felt heart macarons cookies.
String several ❤️ to make a garland or bunting.
Hang hearts fron a hoop to make a mobile for a kids room.
Toss several across a bed pillow as a sweet Valentine.
Attach a felt heart to a card.
Stitch a ling tassel to a heart as a bookmark

Tools:
22 needle circular knitting machine
Darning needle
Scissors
Bowl
Materials:
100% Wool worsted weight yarn
Hot water
Absorbent towel
Pattern:
Long tail Cast on
10 or 15 or 20 rows (you choose - more rounds up to 20 make a bigger heart)
Long Tail cast off with a darning needle.
Cinch both ends closed
Running Stitch from center with both tails over the edge and through the cinched centers tie off and run tails between layers.
10 rounds makes a 1 3/4” felted heart
15 rounds makes a 2” felted heart
20 rounds makes a 21/4” felted heart
Felting:
Soak heart in very hot water
Pick up knitted heart with hands and rub vigorously - swish in waterrub, squeeze out tge water, shape and repeat the vigorous rubbing and then shaping the bumps and bottom point untill felted to your preference.
Squeeze out all the water you can by hand
Shape
Place on a towel and press out the rest of the water and let dry
Your heart sizes may vary as you can stop felting when the heart is the size you like.
