I have watched so many videos that either go too fast or don’t make sense. Your video is better than any video out there. Thank you so much! I’ve subscribed
Newbie knitter here, and I have to say, you are an amazing instructor. I would love to know what yarn you are using because it looks pretty and soft. Thanks for these videos. I have subsribed.
Thank you so much for being so clear! I can see where I wasn't getting the stitches with other people's explanation and it was really easy once I started!!
I'm very new to this, I was watching a video from a different channel on how to do this stitch and I got how to after a bit, but it never told me what to do after. It didn't process in my brain to swap the needles. So thank you for pointing that out!
Oh my god!!! I finally did it cause of this video!!! I’ve watched so many others, and they just couldn’t explain it in a way which made sense! Thank you so much!!!!
You are the best teacher of knitting I've watched many literally many videos but your explanation was crystal clear Your youtube channel should definitely be in my subscriptions😊
I started knitting about 2 on the ago but never got the hang of it, I took a break from it for a while and I just watched this video and it is so well explained that now I'm can actually knit using this stitch so that k you so much
Took me a few dozen times to watch lol, but this is a great video! I really appreciate how many times you went through, and how close your camera is so i could clearly see what I was meant to do. I'm on my way to my first project thanks to this series!
Great tutorial! I love the way you teach. I just bought a pair of bamboo needles and they seem to work out better for me than metal needles. Are wood needles even better? 🙂
I’ve watched six other videos before I found this one. I was tearing my hair out because I couldn’t figure out at what angle everything was being held. This one is close up enough and slow enough for me to follow along.
I think ill stick with crochet for the life of me cant figure this out tried a few times disappointing :( crochets got my heart maybe ill try again in future
Why does my knit stitch and purl stitch look exactly the same?Pls help! I’m new to this hobby and it’s getting very frustrating as I’m positive I’m doing both stitches correctly. My knit stitch does not look like “V’s” 😭 help! 😂 thank you 😊( the knit stitch is supposed to look like V’s right?)
Jackie Krall There’s sort of only one stitch in knitting - the back of a knit stitch is a purl, the back of a purl is a knit. They’re made differently depending on which side you work from. You won’t see a difference in the stitches until you alternate a row of knits with a row of purls and that will make stockinette stitch (which is the “V” look). Or ribbing which is mixing knit and purl stitches on the same row.
@@marielcolley5656 I'm telling you I've followed this method from different tutorial videos, all with the same contents until I've memorized it. And I still ended up with purl 'bumpy' on BOTH sides. *BOTH* . The v shapes were on the insides but the exterior showed bumps. I know what they're supposed to look like. I've watched enough tutorials to know what the right and wrong side is and that's why we're addressing this because we're confused of the outcome we made. I even learned a more advanced cast on method because I thought that was my problem and it STILL CAME OUT THE SAME.
Could you please make a video how to fix mistakes I started and I have 4 loose stitches that don't let me continue I don't know how to put the picture to show it
I only see 2 stitches when I pull the right kneedle out and one stitch leads to a slipknot and the other just leads to nothing? Like what am I doing wrong, I've followed the tutorial exactly and it's just not working
I found a tool called a yarn guide. you place the yarn into the tool and put it on your finger. I am visualy inpared and I found it helps me keep tonchen.
I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong. I'm following the exact steps but when I do the step of scooping the stich off the rest of it unravels. Help??
Maybe you are sliding both stitches off the needle. I made this mistake but watched it again. Watch a couple more times than try again! I’m sure you will get it.
The most common reasons that extra stitches occur are either accidental yarn overs and inadvertent knitting into space between stitches. . Then, when you go to knit the next stitch, the working yarn goes up and over your needle creating an extra loop on your needle as it makes that next stitch.
