Hi mate just after bit of advice I got a velux window to board but the margins are all different how do you board them the builder wants them 90 degrees
It will depend on where the timbers are situated but we normally measure the inside dimensions of the velux then add around 30 or 40mm make a square picture frame from some plasterboard or lath then overlay this over the window on the plasterboard face then centralise it then draw a pencil line around it then cut out the shape this will give you a slight splayed angle for your reveals. You can adjust to suit the best angle we don't normally go at 90 degrees unless it's a very tight reveal. Lost me there sorry I'll try explain it better like when I put my board into velux groove then pull board away from roof rafter so it's 90 degrees I end up with gap to pack out but the gaps different on all reveals due to how windows fitted just wondered how you pack out the gap to fix reveal plasterboard
