Great video, thank you. I have a weird question, the vinyl of the white heart with the blue backing. What vinyl is that? I am looking for that type of backing. I get a lot of all white decals and the white on white is hard to see when packaged and done and looking for a blue backing like that to show the decal better. Thank you

This is a video to explain basic layering and I’m confident that I can do it after watching this video. My issue is knowing the order of layering when there are a lot of layers. It looks confusing. Is there a specific order that must be followed? Do you have any tips or tricks?
You want to start with the top layer and then work your way down. A great way to figure out what order you need everything in is to play around with it on Design Space. Separate all the layers and then “layer” them within the software to see which color should be on top, and then work down to the bottom. I have had designs where one color may need two layers. It can definitely get complicated sometimes!
talati polamalu I use Adobe Illustrator. I cracked my MacBook Pro’s screen and had to send it out to be repaired :( Hopefully it’s back within the next few days! I used a mixture of plural sight, Lynda, and skill share classes to learn the basics. The only tricky part was learning to design specifically for cut files vs print/web design. Vectors can look one way on screen but cut in a *totally* different way. If you have any questions though feel free to inbox me :)
Tania Lacayo my favorite is the paper kind (just search on amazon it’s essentially just masking tape) but if you prefer clear transfer tape I like the Target clear shelf liner. It’s about 8$ for a huge roll and lasts forever. I typically reuse transfer tape a few times. 651vinyl.com has a nice clear tape with grid lines, as well.
