How To Lead A Bible Study 

Hi Dan. Thank you so much for this video with great advice. It was really helpful for us as we started our new Bible Study Group 'Alpha Ladies' last night. We had a great time. The three of us present have agreed a format;- Prayer, drinks, (once a month a meal out extending this to others), a study guide called First Steps, discussion and our personal thoughts, followed by prayer. No guitars for us thank you!!! We will also discuss further how we can help the community as per your suggestion. Thank you Pastor Dan, I was searching for information on women’s Bible study leaders to see if if something was correct or not. Maybe you could help me? This latest study is a study by someone I’m not yet sure I agree with. It is more answering questions than reading of the scripture. The leader stated that we could not discuss our questions in front of / with the group but to ask her privately to illuminate confusion to others; I made a comment that was good that people would have questions and fellowship sharing one another’s responses. She said that not everyone was on the same walk and ones questions would be confusing to others! This seems to me a bit controlling and not allowing us to fellowship as in Bible days? Also the last study we did was a John MacArthur study 12 extraordinary women and none of the women like him or his study And the leader said some derogatory remarks saying he doesn’t know what he is talking about. I did mention that he just celebrated his 55 years as a Pastor and I respected him Please any insight you have would be appreciated? I want to bring glory to God with my responses! I’m part of a small group where the leader is I. Clear unrepeated sin of gluttony and they’ve allowed co-leaders who are also in gluttony and I just don’t want to follow.
