I made one of these with a Wingman about a year ago, and I loved it, so I made another one from a Rev. Using only the existing pieces and no modifications to the parts, you can have the knife, both screwdrivers (opposite the blade on the backside), and the can opener, file, and package cutter on the other end. The only thing that is not present any longer is the pliers and the unused handle, providing you with a highly functional pocket knife. So far, I know this can be done with the Wingman and Rev, but I'm not sure about the others. The only tools you will need is 2 Torx bits (size T10), 2 tools that will fit the bits, and a 1/4 in. socket (to remove the hex-head behind the pocket clip.
If only you've made one where you actually used the tools like the box opener and small screwdriver with ruler on it.. then I could've used that for reference.. The can opener means jacks**t to me...
+Milkman4279 It's a less bulky Leatherman, with Swiss Army Knife functionality. And it's just a cool tool to bust out and show people. Better blade than a SAK too! Haha
+Jesse Valdez Thanks man✌😊 Leatherman already makes the Skeletool KB, the Juice, and the Crater C33 (which is a prettier version of this!)... I'm not sure they would want something like this competing with their other products. Haha. Maybe I could mod them for people, if they were interested 😉
+B-rad Rad Not exactly. The screwdrivers still lock in place due to the indent on the back of the drivers themselves. They work like normal, and no changes made to them. The spring I removed was actually for the pliers, which needed to be removed, as they have a smaller diameter than the bottle/can opener bit. If left in place, the female pivot screw will NOT line up properly through the washers to the male pivot screw. The bottle/can opener bit stays in place due to friction, and that any pressure you use on it in normal operation, keeps it in place. Hope I explained well enough ☺👍
