Scotty Kilmer recommends using a hockey puck in the jack cup to act as a rubber cushion between the jack and the car. Pucks are about $2 at Dick's Sporting Goods.

I generally lift the car up by the unibody frame i set a one foot piece of 2x4 centered on the top of the jack craddle same direction as the frame runs it will actually lift the front & back of car up same time, if need to jack up whole front end then use two jacks each side of the framing or use two floor jacks one on each side of the framing.

I used these instructions for the front end. I had to use a flashlight to see the spot just as in the video. I placed jack stands where the small tire jack usually goes on both side rails. Then I moved the floor jack to jack up one rear tire at a time on the side-rail jack point. This way I could rotate tires on each side from front to back. It worked out well.

That's great but to get the car up high enough to place floor jacks under it is another story. When the wheels are just an inch off the ground, no way my floor jacks come close to fitting on the 4 side points. I sure am not crawling under my low clearance Venza with it supported only by a floor jack.

If your jack stands are large enought your floor jack may not be able to lift that high - that's yet another problem this video doesn't address. You might have to pour some concrete underware you put your floor jack.

You can get chalk of wood to place over your jack and get extra height clearance without needing to fully extend the floor jack

I jacked up the front but I couldn't but the stand by the stand...My jack is hard to push any higher and my wheel is still touching the ground.

you should invest in a harbor freight jack if you haven't already. My dad had an older jack that wouldn't rise as high.

I have a 2011 Lexus ES350. Can you provide any information on where to position the arms of a 2-post car lift? Should the contact points be on the pinch welds as shown in the owner's manual? It's nearly impossible to find information on this topic.

Your Camry weight is about 3600lb. If you want to lift half the car, you will need at least 1.5 ton floor jack. Bigger Jack always a plus, it's heavier but can lift more.

Yes it's normal. On my Lexus when I lift rear in the middle one side is lower than other. Don't know why.

Koomo801 the stand point are where the lower arm meet the underbody, large cylinder joint just in front of your rear wheels. Theirs a diagram with blue squares at location from toyota if you search. You will use that cylindrical arm mount as support. Be safe & sure 😀

What are the specs on the jack and it's lift height? Mine says 18.5 inches - will that lift a Lexus RX350?

18.25 max height. I don't know if it's enough to lift RX.

Harbor freight makes Daytona heavy duty that lifts 20" and they make a Daytona Heavy Duty "long reach", that lifts 24". They are usually on sale for 179-$189. Those jacks would work on anything. Spend the extra $ and get the professional grade heavy duty. They are an incredible bargain.

@@TaijiArban I agree. I have the heavy duty Daytona. My only regret is I did not buy the low profile one. I can't get my jack under the side of one of my cars, the car sits too low.
