Oh my goodness, I've been lining my bags forever but not like you. I'm now a convert. Wish you'd do tutorials for your bags, I'd pay, since I don't understand written patterns❤
Thank you, really clear tutorial. My base was pill shaped rather than square/rectangle so instead of sewing straight across the triangle, I sewed in an arch shape to get the desired outcome.
This tutorial literally saved my project!! ❤ Seriously ur such an angel for putting out an in depth video!!! Also I just wanted to ask if it's possible to add a recessed zipper for these kind of squared bag? Do you think it's possible to add it in a crochet bag? I kind of wanna maintain the square shape 😅
Great video. Just a small tip. If possible use a zig zag stitch when attaching the lining, if using a sewing machine, or if hand sewing use Small, close together back stitches.
@@AlyssiaCreatesthank for your time and creativity 🤩 I enjoyed the video, however IMHO the sound wave music is mind altering and is not appropriate for everyone 💙 I hope you understand what I mean 🙏 no music is the way to go 🤔
Thank you sooooooo much for this tutorial. I have a round base but this was right on point! Your walk through was so engaging and easy for sewing beginners like myself. I will continue to follow you for more tutorials and share your page with others. Thank you again.🥰
Great tutorial. I'm relatively new to crochet and just completed a tote and a purse. Your instructions are really clear and will help me structure my linings to fit properly. Thank you for sharing your talent and knowledge.
I've been crocheting for years, but just recently started lining my bags. I've also watched a TON of RU-vid videos on the topic. This one by far is one of the most clear, concise, & adequately detailed videos I've watched in a really long time. Keep it up girlfriend, you're doing an amazing job! 😊
Yes that was not smart of me lol, I just used that video clip from an older video when I didn't have an iron mat - definitely don't do that anymore or recommend that! Glad you enjoy the tutorial :)
I have a tutorial for a daisy zipper bag on my channel that shows how I add a zipper :) (time stamp: 25:17) Here is the link to the sewing portion in that video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-VsCdBnRveTM.htmlsi=swJuXdqrJm4fBNlN&t=1517
This was a very great tutorial with thorough instructions. However, I do have a question. If my bag had an oblong base, how would you advise me to sew like you had around this timestamp: 8:46 In my head, I feel like sewing a curve would be enough but I’m not too sure
I haven’t lined a bag with an oblong base before but I think that you are right with sewing a curve. I think rounding the edge in accordance to the rounded edge of your bag base (I would try to trace the approximate curve of your bag so it matches) when making the boxed corner part would work :)
Thank you so much for this video tutorial! Very clear and helpful. I feel confident to try it now. Love your beautiful bag! Could you share the name of your pattern?
Thank you so much!! The name of the pattern for this bag is "Daisy Drawstring Crossbody Bag", it's available on my Etsy, Ko-fi, Ravelry and LoveCrafts all under the name AlyssiaCreates (links can be found in description for this video). I also have a video tutorial for the zipper version of this bag which is on my channel :)
