Don't buy property, don't start a business, don't stay in the country for more than 6 months to avoid the tax, don't bring any more money than you need into the country, don't get married and don't trust anyone. Follow all these rules and you will be fine. Ignore them at your own peril.
@@chinobonito30 That's the point. They don't want us there, other than to visit as polite tourists spending as much money as possible. The laws make it obvious.
About tax: even if it seems the enforcement needs some explanations, the rules including rates and exemptions are clear. Preparing my move out of Thailand, which will save me a lot of money. I will be back on tourist visas, which is currently 120 days per year.
Great video! Have any viewers *recently* opened a Thai bank account with a tourist visa? If so, please share what agency you used (if applicable), what bank & branch location you used, and what the process was like. Many thanks!
Ahh gotta love Thailand lol. A whole heap of information but no definite answers whatsoever until the grenade goes off 😂 Cool vid man, at least we know some starting points 👌🏼
If I am not mistaken you can get 100% ownership via BOI promotion. I think it's really difficult to give advice on tax and visa matters. It always ends up depending too much on each individual personal situation.
One more button on that shirt would be great but great information otherwise. I'd use this guy as he seems really knowledgeable. Keis, great idea for a video. Really informative.
I know American business owners here that still went the Thai partnership route. The 100% rule sounds great but i wonder how hard it is in reality that some still avoid it. Just because it exists doesn't mean that it's also practical.
What would you be using it to pay for? I use my CC in Thailand all the time. I'm not sure what you mean by 'tax' do you mean a tax in your home country or in Thailand?
Iam only halfway through, but I gotta say, what an informative video! I honestly think your title an thumbnail is misleading, because it makes me think this is just one of the normal rambling videos where you just bla bla your way through the video in front of a beautiful grafity background. But this interview actually seems very thorough and educational.
Huh. I'm 2 minutes in and I think he has already said something which is incorrect. He said a foreigner cannot be the largest shareholder in a Thai company. I believe this is incorrect. It's true that a foreigner cannot own more than 49%, but he can still be the largest shareholder. Can someone correct me if I'm wrong?
Wish I could proudly brag about US citizens being able to own a Thai business with 100% ownership... but after that debate last night, I'm anything but proud.
I, having lived here for 13 years don't know why people want to open business in Thailand, I really just don't see why you would bother, you are not going to, in the most likely of cases make any real money, if you were financially well off you would just take your money and live an awesome life in Thailand
Another banger mate ! I’m always watching at the right time to comment early ! I’d kill to live over there so this info is mad helpful ! Keep at it mate ! Next year the beers are on me ! Haha Cookie 🤙🏻🤙🏻🍺
