How to Live Stream Using the Steinberg UR22C and a Smart Phone

Only just purchased the UR22C and delighted to find this clear instructional video. The only confusion I had was on the USB-C to Lightning connector adapter. However, on reading the Steinberg manual, it clearly states that you purchase an Apple USB-C to Lightning connector camera adapter! Cost of this tiny cable is $48.00 in Australia, but so well worth it. I'm using the UR22C with a pedal board which includes a Yamaha mixer, A Para-Acoustic D.I. for the acoustic guitar, a Boss chorus ensemble pedal for the guitar & finally, a TC Helicon Harmony Singer pedal. I use these in conjunction with the iPhone to make musical videos for "virtual" folk clubs at this time of the Corona Virus (Covid-19) which has us all in lockdown right now. Following the instructions, it all works perfectly and the program I use to video in up to 4K recognises the UR22C and there is no latency. Thanks to Absolute music!

Hi, I really liked your tutorial videos. In this video, I specifically wanted to ask. I have the Ur22c sound card from the Steinberg company. What you showed in the video. Can I broadcast live on Facebook not on an iPhone, but on a laptop? Correct me if I'm wrong. I connect the sound card to a laptop. configured on the computer and the driver of the sound card is installed on the computer I usually sing on Facebook with playback playing in the background how do I do it in terms of the connections and I saw that you connected the L and R outputs to where exactly they connect maybe to a mixer of any kind

I have the audient id4 audio interface (which takes power from a pc or laptop only), an iPhone XS, akg p220 condenser microphone & also a tc helicon play acoustic vocal & guitar processor! My question is if I can connect my vocal processor to the audio interface & get effects like reverb, delay etc, on my vocals & acoustic guitar & stream live on Instagram? If yes, I’ll surely get the apple camera adapter which has a USB A & lightning port so that I can power the iPhone because my microphone might need phantom power or is it not gonna work because the iPhone can’t power the interface? However my vocal processor can be powered via dc! Could this work? 🤔

Can I use an OTG cable instead of the type c cable provides? The lightning adapter is hard to get nowadays.

I have an iPhone 7 and a Samsung S10e. I purchased an Audio Technica AT2020, Steinburg UR 12 and Livewire headphone adapter. I connected everything and I'm getting very little to no sound through the headphones when I'm recording real time and playing back. Any advice? Thank you for your time.

can you use RU-vid as backing track and sing with it while streaming?

I did everything as you said connecting to the Iphone and the audio is getting in to all recording-Apps (like voice messages on WhatsApp or any other), however Instagram live keeps using the phone microphone for the streaming. Is there any configuration to in the Iphone settings or why this issue??? Thanks.

May I ask is the instagram or phone call still support live streaming using audio interface? While I using iPhone or iPad, the UR22C works for all non-livestream apps, however, as soon as I switch on IG or FB or Line livestream or phone call, it immediately reverts to core internal core audio. I'm so confused...

Thanks for the video! I have a UR44. I've managed to connect it to my iphone successfully via Lighting to USB 3 adapter and getting audio perfectly. Also have the DSP Mix FX app. Only issue is it's not recording audio on my Camera App or Via Instagram even though I hear the audio on my headphones during recording. I'm using Inputs 3 and 4 on my Steinberg as stereo coming from my mixer. Is there something I'm doing wrong?? Any help appreciated!! Thanks in advance

I stopped using my UR22C for a couple of months. It used to work very well but today tried to connect it to my iPhone and the usb light does not stop blinking! It is strange as the sound comes out of the interface (through my headphones) but when I record a video like on this video it does not take any sound and the usb light keeps blinking. I tried to reinstall dsp app, changed cables, etc. I don’t see any solution in forums, hence my post here as I am quite desperate (need to urgently record something…). Thanks in advance for your help!

Hi, I can't get the UR44C on iPad to record video (using native apple camera app) with the main audio mix from dspMixFx associated to it. Does anyone know if it is possible ? From what I can see into this demo it is possible at leat with instagram and UR22C, so why not with UR44C and default video App (or third party). Cheers.

How to get backing track with guitar and voice together on UR-C22?

How are you able to steam with Reverb?!? All the literature specifically states that FX only works for the live outputs (headphone and monitor) and cannot be passed to the PC (or the iPhone in this case).

You can't connect a powerbank to UR44C as it has 12v socket not a 5v one. Am i missing something?
