Sometimes they go slow cause they need to go up in the air about 40-50 ft to recalibrate. Then bring it down and drive, also having the boom up so high will always put it in slow poke mode. So always try and keep the boom as low as possible and make sure it’s all closed up and not extended out, cause will also cause it to fault out and be in slow poke mode besides the drive switch’s for off-road, idle and flat ground. Ever need to know anything about them get at me I’ll help you out Hermano! 🇵🇷
I worked for ahern rental hauling for them, before they got bought out, snorkel boom lifts are constantly nothing but trouble when i have to deliver or pick them up
I worked for Ahern for 1 month and left when I caught wind they where getting bought out by United. I’m driving for a way better company now and probably 1 of the best companies to drive for hauling Equipment!
Love what you do with this channel man. If you plan on moving more booms in the future please invest in a harness brother. It may sound stupid or pointless but these things can be unpredictable and result in fatality (no exaggeration). In addition to that depending on where you are you can receive a hefty fine for operating one without a harness. Not hating, just word of advice and caution. Stay safe 🫡
Great 👍 job & fantastic job Hermano. I’m certain I’ll see you out and about in & around Houston sir, as I drive for DiamondHLogisticsLLC, a division of LansdowneMoody.
I haul equipment and that was good thinking on getting the boom out! My Biggest Boom lift I’ve hauled was a JLG 150 ft Boom. Total GVW with that piece of equipment on my is back is about 79k lbs. but I haul 40 - 85 ft booms every day. Diesel and electric ⚡️.

Maybe you can have your welding guy come weld you up a battery tray and make a hold down for it and get one of those plastic battery boxes to keep it out of the rain and sun too

when dou you have to cross-strap a load? does it depend on the weight, or the size, or the shape? cuz sometimes i see a load that is cross secured.....
What’s up Gr I’ve been trying to get into that industry. I live in Miami and its had to get a job from here, my sister wants me to move to Houston Texas where she is living. If you could please give me some advice. I have my CDL and I went to Melton for a while and had securement training.
When you back up to hook up to lowboy? You probably use driver side mirror exclusively, and aim your truck fender for about 1 inch in from trailer edge? Am I correct? You never seem to ever miss your pins hooking up. Does that ever happen? Learn a lot from you!
I used to like hauling manlift and forklifts tell I started hauling excavator. Now it's all about that oversized life com'on. But on another note where can I find those blue hooks on your chains??
what he needed to do was boom the opposite direction, put the weight on the rear wheels and then go. Trying to pull it out with 30% of machine weight on one rear wheel. Mind blown.
Just giving you a hard time bro, I’ve been driving for 26 years and O/O for 24 years. My 2nd son just started driving and I give him shit lol keep on truck’n
