How To Load & Unload Your Kayak | Native Watercraft Titan

I wanted to share how I load and unload my Native Watercraft Titan 12. You can load large and heavy kayaks by lifting parts of it and using leverage points to load and unload your fishing kayak. I hope this is helpful! #KayakFishing #NativeWatercraft #WFF

That’s a nice setup! I’m glad I don’t have to do that kind of lifting with mine but the space in the cargo trailer is a definite bonus!

I love my cargo trailer, especially when I'm camping because I dont have to trip on stuff in the camper. I still might get a boat trailer style like you have because it's so easy to slide onto bunks.

I used to put my Native Slayer Max in the back of my pickup truck on some 10’ carpet covered bunks I bolted in the back of the truck. Loading was fairly easy ( not quite as high of a lift ) but couldn’t flip up the tailgate because of the bunks. Totaled the truck and ended up buying a Malone dual kayak trailer which is awesome , nice and low, but love all that storage space you have in this little cargo trailer. Great demo.

I have a newer trailer now by on the water innovations. If you are ever looking for a custom kayak trailer, call up Denny at OTWI and tell him I sent you ;) He is great to work with.

wow it look very nice in the background! I have the slayer max I just put in the bed of a truck with a bed extender. I pretty much use the same technique. great video!

Haha. It is only hard if I have been out in the heat all day fishing til I'm exhausted. I learned I need to leave a little in the tank for getting off the water and getting home. Thanks Moo 🙂

Hi Kate! Quick question. I received my Titan 12 today and it didn’t come with the propel drive. A guy told me that they ship it separately. The thing is they all live back east or mid-west. Did you get them separately or at the same time?

I bought the landing gear for my titan 13.5 but it was still too damn heavy to pull up a ramp,had to get a trailer but it's worth the weight,no kayak is like it.

I joined the Hobie Fishing Team and am in a Hobie Pro Angler 14. I really enjoyed the Titan, but it was hard in areas with a lot of weeds, constantly getting stuck in the propel drive. It did great on the weedless waters of Utah but was difficult on sloughs in the south east.

Nope. I couldn't do it. It's all I can do to get my 10 ft. Slayer into my truck bed. I love that trailer.

Sometimes I wish I just had a truck bed in some parking lots. Do you have a tailgate extender for your kayak?

@@KateFishing Nope. Don't need it. I have a 6.5 foot bed and then with the tailgate dropped, that gives it another 2 feet. So my yak only hangs off by about 18 inches. No problemo. Red flag on the end and we're good to go. I don't even need landing gear or wheels unless I have a long drag from parking lot to water (Fellsmere).
