In the northwest corner of upstate South Carolina, the highs are still in the low 90s, with the lows around 70. It's been the longest run of heat we've had in a while, so don't think the crappie have moved from summer pattern here yet.
One GOOD Reason to tie up or even get on a private dock, answer coming at end.. First I agree there are many reasons why you should not encrouch on someone's private dock. However, i think there is one positive reason to do so "only on weekdays, before Memorial Day and after Labor Day without asking for permission. Lake theives will steal anything of value that is not securely locked up. A dock deep in a cove is attractive to a thief. If you are présent, tied to a dock, standing on a dock and a thief see's you there during an unlikwly time, "weekdays & off season" you may have helped avert a theft from this dock. Best Approach is to ask for permission. Approach dock owners in these secluded coves for permission and intention of tying up or getting on their dock. THIS COULD BE the solution of turning Lemmons into Sweet Lemmonaide!
