@@ParkerYorkSmith I'd say you're also the guy every dad needs! I think a hugely popular video would be how to dress/develop style if you're on the heavier side
Getting my clothes tailored has been such a game changer for me. I’m a bigger guy so I used to wear baggier clothes because I thought it was more comfortable. It just made me look so sloppy and unkempt.
If he likes to not have to think too much about his outfits, it can also be helpful to have a limited all over color palette so everything in his closet can mix and match together
Yes this is what I did for my husband. I narrowed his clothing palette down to shades of blue, green, cream, gray, and tan. Now when he just reaches for anything, it always somehow looks coordinated. He said it’s easier to get dressed too because he doesn’t have to think about matching. I know it sounds a bit boring to only wear certain colors but he literally doesn’t care (which is why he was wearing some wildly horrible outfits before 😅)
@@sophievanderbilt1325 I'm getting married soon and haven't had a good style since I enlisted in the military. My fiance loves what I wear now, but if i'm going to be a husband I want to dress the part. I like the way I look in black so that makes things super easy for me. Black and white and some neutral colors thrown in. Easy!
How my mom ensured that whatever combo my dad wears looks good. I shamelessly clown him for his inability to style himself but I do appreciate that he lost that ability focusing on being a father to my siblings and I, a husband to my mom and protector of the house
I couple of years ago I rebrought my wardrobe, as I hadn't brought new clothes in over 10 years and most of it was worn out. And I wanted a completely new style look. What has been really successful was finding a few brands that I really liked and buying whole outfits from the same season. They are already colour palette matched! Plus like you, I limited my colours: mostly blues, greens & tans. Now I can pick almost anything and it goes nicely together.
I love this. It’s like taking three pairs of pants, three shirts, three extra layer shirts/jackets, 3 pairs of shoes, a small army of jewelry, and staying for two weeks somewhere.
my greatest fashion discovery was chinos and jeans in different colors. not a huge deal, but getting comfortable switching up my look in small ways was the catalyst to bigger changes.
You'll notice these items look best when they are clean and not wrinkled!!! I treat myself to having my blouses done atvthe cleaners. A simple cotton blouse looks so much better when done with a light starch and a good press.
Wow im early! Wanted to say thank you! My dress game has greatly improved and my wife, friends and family notice it! And your channel was a big part of that inspiration.
This man is a genius! Love his style and I'm not even a guy or have anyone who could take his fashion advice. I feel his style reminds me my own style.
Since you mentioned Levis and they have so many different fits, I would suggest taking the time once to try on as many styles as you can. It may take a while but you'll find a couple styles that work best and from there figure out dark, light, grey, black, etc.
man you let fashion look fun. but I'm just too tall and finding pieces in regular shopping is way to exhausting. would love to go shopping and just grab some stuff. 😢
One of the big things you’ve taught me besides, be yourself, Is have a solid foundation then slowly work off that until you’ve found things you are or aren’t comfortable with and all of that is a fun experience
If you're someone who likes to throw on any old thing, or you're shopping for someone like that, buy all of your/their clothes in one palate. If their closet is full of random stuff, the outcome is going to come out pretty random. If it's well edited, and cohesive, the outcome is going to come out edited and cohesive. (And for the love of god, don't try to shake things up. Your attempt to inject a bit of color is going to result in them wearing an orange hoodie with purple shorts. If you want to add variety, focus on tone on tone patterns and textures. Texture really almost always looks more luxe and considered than color anyway.)
Can you do some tips on styling dress shirts for men who don't have your incredible body proportions, or who generally don't feel comfortable with their silhouette?
+1 on nailing down the fit. It's just so annoying that brands can't produce a consistent fit. The same jean model and size at Levi's doesn't fit the same in different colors.
I need a female version of you. Someone who can teach a very casual tomboy how to find style. I'm tired of looking frumpy, but am not comfortable in dresses all the time.
fellas I present to you : true classic tees ( they fit perfecto, it’s a online store ) Thursday boot company ( online website, really nice casual shoes that are matte black, gives a nice dynamic to a overall look) and express men ( online store, where you can find really nice casual stuff like you see in the video, or also really nice suits and such) although these sites can be pricey, if you get yourself one of the boots , a couple different packs of shirts from true classic, and at least 2 nice casual jackets or sweaters from express men, you really can mix and match and your set it doesn’t take much. that’s how i did what i wear.
"Get a shirt that fits" sure, but what about for bigger guys who are self conscious (asking for a friend etc etc lol) I know the ultimate solution is to get in shape, but in the mean time?
I really enjoy your videos, but it's easy to look good when you are slim like you :-). For those of us with a belly, the larger XXL gentleman, a lot of your great outfits would look silly. Can you style someone on the larger size ?
For travel, I love merino, linen and layers. Pick a tight colour palette, so everything mixes. And I learnt the hard way, always pack a warm jumper or jacket, Hanoi was cold in January in a summer wardrobe after the warm climate of the south!
My bf loves cartoon t shirts + straight leg jeans, is there any chance to style it a bit better? I don't want him to cut off what he like, but the same time we both agree he need to dress a little more mature due to his age and position.
Could you give us some ideas for unique gifts for men that they'll actually use/wear? I feel like I always gift the same things to my friends, a beanie, a t-shirt... What else do guys even wear? 😅
