Totally agree with all 16! And good manners are priceless! Be friendly, smile at people. I love it! I've seen women dressed in thousands of dollars and yet are so rude. I couldn't care less what they spent, they look ugly to me. It's all having a sweet attitude. Head to toe logo or really huge logos that scream "I overpaid for this item because my self-esteem is so low I'm trying to buy it". I don't care if it's a purse from Target or a Fendi, if it's clean and fits with your outfit, it can look gorgeous.
Yes. The women from the projects and the poor women that worked at taco bell, mcdonalds, and as grocery store cashiers all had the longest most colorful excessively blinged out nails. I associate it with the hood and food stamp cards!

To me, looking expensive can be as simple as knowing how to put on your make up to enhance your look. Lips, eyes cheeks etc. Also hair is clean and well coiffed. Jewelry and well done nails always make me notice a person. Dressing simply as you talk about here just elevates a person. I have seen more thick girls dress beautifully and made up well. It doesn't matter what shape you are or how you look. These things are so tried and true.
i believe just because new styles come in, even if we love them, doesn't mean we have to abandon other styles we love because some ppl say "they're over".. love me some skinny jeans!!!
I have never stopped wear mine. I look the best in skinny jeans. It is just my body structure. Some people make the mistake to wear something only because it is trendy (fast fashion), but it can look very bad on their body shape. It is the same with my hair too. I look awful with my hair done middle part because of the shape of my face and the fact that I wear glasses, so I have my hair done side part. And it looks very good on me I don't care if someone will say this is not trendy anymore...

Nice to hear something a little bit different. About sunglasses (or clothes actually), I’d add choose something that actually fits you. Maybe that goes without saying - but I see it all the time, and I do believe in some cases it’s easier said than done! Get someone to help you. Ill fitting clothes, glasses that are just too big or not adequate for your face shape... I’ve definitely been guilty of those : then when I see pictures, expensive stuff or not, I look cheap. (You can definitely rock an oversized look and look expensive though.) I only have one pair of sunglasses - with prescription, so a bit more of an investment - I got help choosing them and I know the seller wouldn’t have let me buy them if they didn’t fit my face properly. I prefer that to having 5 pairs that don’t exactly fit me and that I regret buying. Of course you don’t have that kind of service in H&M 🤔 Also, since you mentioned clean hair... I feel like a fresh haircut will go a long way too. Doesn’t have to be an expensive one in a fancy salon. Just getting rid of those dry, split ends helps I think. I’m definitely guilty of that too, waiting too long between haircuts 😂 but when I finally get one, I feel so much better and it gives me a longer lasting satisfaction than buying yet another piece of clothing. So I guess less clothes, but better ones and more self care? 😂
Perfume oversprayers drive me NUTS!! Thanks for bringing this up, it's such a basic of etiquette but easily gets overlooked. I get that your nose can get used to a perfume and you might spray more than you used to. It's just a thing to keep in mind that other people still smell it and a strong scent of somebody's fragrance can be a huge stress factor.
I was once in a boutique, early morning, first customer. Along comes in a woman whose perfume ( at 10 a.m) totally fumigated the mid sized store with her scent. Unbelievably over powering. I swear that store smelt of her the rest of the day and the next. Utterly obnoxious

I'd like to add: wear those colors that make you look fabulous, make sure your clothes fit your body, basic mending (re-sewing buttons & hems/small holes) to extend the life of your clothes, local/artisan made for extra fun/special pieces, and look for quality/luxury clothes in the second hand market.
Your style is very unique. There's a lot that you pull off that others cant n still look soo expensive. I enjoy that about you. I cant afford this stuff but i love fashion.

I have scored an off white London Fog raincoat, a black velvet Eddie Bauer car coat, a 'perfect green" Isabel Bird shirt . . major staple pieces . . if something is not in perfect condition I don't get it.
When I travel, I do all white and black with a touch of Grey. Jewelry always will be silver. Big, bold pieces. My hair is blonde, blunt cut, style straight. My shoes are ballet slippers , with a criss cross strap. Ready for any occasion. Simple make- up for day, heavy dark upper lid for night. Then I don't have to stress about what to wear. Makes travel easy.

I like that you defend BOLD style. I LOVE to make a statement in a look - I mostly wear neutrals, so I try to have a cute feature to spice it up. I also work in a laboratory, so literally no one cares, but I DO! :) Love the video- very good advice! LIMIT the perfumes people- its really not a good look to OVERWHELM ppl with scents/perfume/cologne :P

Generally , I’m very boho with my style, I appreciate comfortable clothes over all, that be said I also like to feel put together. With the boho style it’s pretty over the top, I wear it with very minimalist styling. Maybe one statement jewelry piece . Or three plus bracelets no necklace, or bomb earrings and rings. My colors are black grey white and cream. Every now and again I’ll find something in a deep green with a mustard and bell sleeves that I could incorporate in my wardrobe. Love love the thrill of the hunt , so I will thrift trends only if I like them. I’m a huge fan of Eileen Fisher, so simple and all pieces go together beautifully. I love Zara maxi and midi dress , great vibes. I usually stick to very monochromatic outfits. By boho skits and dress still have a classy ease about them. Subscribed to your channel, I appreciate the honesty. I’m 58 and do not appreciate videos like what you should wear at a certain age! Be you , do you !!!!

yessss!!! I'm so over logos... Even with my bags. I really can't stand my LV monograms anymore :( I'm much more into Chanel and Loewe now, because it's just less in your face. Agree with fit. I find that keeping everything slightly on the bigger side of size so it fits you effortlessly and relaxed, makes you look very classy with an edge. Choosing the right fabrics is a huuuuuge factor. I think understatement and balance is the way to go and I love color in my looks. All this minimal beige blah is soooo boring and IMO just trying too hard. You can be dressed in all beige and white, but if it's obviously bad quality clothes you look ridiculous and like a wannabe IG poser.
