Thanks for all the tips! I am 4’11” and have long torso and shorter legs, too. It is really a challenge to get that taller look but your choices were great. I adore hats as well. Appreciation from the petite point of view!☺️

Bethany: Yesterday, I wore a classy outfit that I worked hard to put together. it was an olive and brown outfit: brown plaid newsboy cap. Olive plaid wool scarf. White blouse, black vest. olive suede midi skirt and kaki boots and a kaki and green suede satchel. I received hostile looks while I walked down the street and also in the supermarket. It was the oddest experience. I don’t know what to make of it. Was it because I was the only woman in a skirt? Was it because I did not have jeans on? Is there a secret uniform code, and I broke some silent rules. I live in NYC. It was so weird‼️

You should not care about people's stares.If you feel awesome wearing that outfit.You should raise your head high and walk like a goddess.You may not know that you are looking fabulous and that why they are looking at you but you just walk like you know you are fabulous.Thats it🙃

It was a difficult out fit to work out, because it is amazing, I learned, how many olive greens and browns there are‼️ Some have cool undertones and some have gray undertones and blue undertones and some have warm undertones. It sounded like an easy color combination in my mind. So, it took more work than I imagined to select the browns and olive greens items that went together and to balance out the subtle undertones. And then to not look frumpy. I was shocked. I was finally happy after I put the puzzle together. And went about my errands. I was surprised at the frowns that I received. Especially because the colors were calm and tonal “monochromatic.” Not loud or jarring or anything like that. It definitely was a weird experience, especially in a city where practically anything supposedly goes. 😳

I only found your channel recently and it helps so much! I'm 5'2, with a short torso and long legs, and finding that balance is really difficult (especially because I love high-waist, but anything high-waist often makes my torso look even smaller) - but this is perfect, it's so helpful to have the breakdown and comparisons

Your original video series on petite dressing COMPLETELY changed the way I think about dressing myself. It explained why certain styles never really seemed to work on me, and why I tended to favor others. Understanding those concepts has saved me a lot of money on things I wouldn’t have enjoyed wearing and helped me refine my style. I found a dress of sezane in a second hand shop,for 20 euros! It fits, is brand new!! I nearly jumped!you introduced me to this brand in your videos, i fell in love but normally it is way too expensive for me and i tryed to rebuild the style with ather pieces and some sewing.But know i have a dress from them!!!!it was so funny,because it was like you where kind of there, it felt like exploring a piece of art-this is what i learned from you.Clothes and Style is art. I’m short, long back and pear shaped, and in need for content like yours 😍 Im looking for a wool winter coat, but all of the ones I like are cut by the knee 🙈 I keep reading that this is a no-no for short legs, but is it “allowed” if I work around it, or is it always going to make me look shorter?

It goes without saying that as petite ladies, we have to be more conscious about proportions.
