I am a devoted crocheter by heart and many of my family members have tried to get my to start looming but I had no desire to, thinking its boring and dull "what? scarfs? I hate scarfs." They would buy me looms and yarn. I would give away the looms and keep the yarn, *giggle*. But I have to say, after seeing the amazing video I am excited and would love to get into looming. Its funny what the right inspiration will do to a person. Thank you so much
Chris Kenney hehehe thank you! So glad to know we had that power! :) Hope you enjoy loom knitting from now on!! We have a lot of loom knitting tutorials on this channel
I love your videos, unlike others that start by giving a huge speech on why they chose to make this project or whatever. I love that your video get right to the point
I also appreciate that! I have watched the sock one she made and it was really easy to follow and my socks turned out great. So I'm really looking forward to making gloves by following her video.
Thank you Ingrid! :) We also like videos that get right to the point so our intention was to make them this way! (so glad to know you appreciate that!)
This style of teaching worked very well for me; a bright, clear video with the steps shown close-up and slowly the first few times, then at a normal pace. I thought 14 min would be long, but the techniques changed quickly enough to not become boring while still being informative. I easily paused and/or back tracked for the parts I needed to watch again. This was well thought out and well demonstrated. Thank you for the hard work and posting this tutorial.
I've watched 5 of your videos so far and all I can say is THANKS!!!!! I bought a couple of looms just because they were dirt cheap on clearance at Wal-Mart and figured I would just read the directions and create....didn't happen! The instructions were confusing, but after watching your videos, I'm sure I can get to creating now! Thanks for sharing!
I just made my very first glove. Followed this video step by step with complete success! I used grey, white and black wool and the glove looks perfect. I can't tell you how impressed I am. The video was easy to follow and the sizing was perfect. Thanks so much for putting this together!
This was my favorite out of the fingerless glove videos I watched. I was starting to get upset, confused and bored with the others. I watched this straight through with no problems.
This is a great tutorial. My 9 year old daughter has a loom and she wanted to make something like this. I think you vid moves at a nice speed and is very thorough. I think we can do this project together. I'm new at this Thanks so much for sharing your talents! I'm a new subscriber!
I love this tutorial! I made two of them, one was for Mother's Day and the second one was because I loved the first one so much I had to make one for myself. I kind of messed up on the thumb hole for the first one, but the second one was absolutely perfect! This project is great for beginners.
Your really good at looming. I do loom knitting too. Two years ago I made 400 hats and scarfs for the homeless and elderly, the whole fall winter and spring. Plus my friends helped we made like 3,000. I’ve been doing looming for six years
This is definitely my favorite knitting channel. A lot of loom knitting projects come out looking gappy or weirdly chunky, but you always have such beautiful patterns and I LOVE how all of my projects turn out! Your videos are also always so easy to follow along with and you're fantastic about answering questions. Keep up the good work!
Hi linda palaia :) You can work all in one color. You just need to skip the part where we add 2 more strands and keep using the current strand you have to work all the rounds.
I've watched several of your tutorial videos & I find them very easy to follow. I love the music background that you use. Thanks for being such a great teacher!
Hi Nikki L! (sorry, we haven't seen your last comment) We worked both gloves in the same way, without any change, but yes, you could do it as you said (or you could work the whole glove counter-clockwise).
Thank you so much for showing this easy technique for switching color! I am in awe of how easy it is when you know what you are doing. I can't wait to try this!
these are just AMAZING! LOL i posted a pic of my very first glove on Facebook and everyone started asking if they could buy a pair! you are just awesome and your vids are easy to follow! You make it so easy a beginner can do this. WILL RECOMMEND your videos
Love your videos! So clear and easy to follow! I tried just reading the directions on a pattern, but I really need to see it in order to understand it, and you've done a wonderful job presenting the information. And this is an awesome project! Making a black, red and silver pair for my daughter. Loom knitting is my new obsession and I'm very much looking forward to trying more of the projects on your channel! Thank you so much for being willing to share your knowledge and talent!
fantastic vid! i really like how you put all of the colors in one place @ the same time, & make that neat little twist!! my things have little knots all over the place [on the inside, but still looks like crud]. THANK-YOU for teaching/sharing, hon!
thank you for sharing this! i love and have saved many of your videos since they're so easy to follow. i typically crochet and have for about 13 years but i absolutely love how quick and easy the loom knitting is especially with how well you show and explain it! i did this in a variegated florescent skein of hot pink, orange, green, and yellow for my 13 year old niece who constantly txts on her phone! im absolutely thrilled with the results! great videos like these keep people active in making projects for loved ones without getting burnt out and frustrated.. so thank you very much for taking the time to teach it! i myself cant follow patterns very well and learn better by watching someone rather... i have saved many of your videos .. please keep posting for us!!
Amanda Lewis thank you so much for your words :) We'd love to see your results! (and that variegated florescent yarn!) Feel free to send us pictures to info@tuteate.com if you want
I just want to say it would be easier for me when the people who are doing the video to talk but you don't have to do it I just think that you should talk on the harder videos. But I really love your videos.
hi i just made the gloves and it went very well. i only used two colors and they are beautifull. i could follow the instructions very well even so that english is not my language. I speak dutch. ty vm
Thank you for your words and feedback Cindy Heminger! :) If we have time we'll share another type of fingerless mittens tutorial, so you can try another one before Christmas :)
OMG! You already made 2 pairs and your are eager to make more! I created a "loom knitter monster"! Hehe I'm kidding, thank you so much for your message. I'm so glad to know this tutorial is helpful for you!
An amazing video.. I've had my loom knitting kits, yes I bought every size, yet to start until I seen you video.. What an outstanding job, beautiful work. Ty for giving me confidence enough to start 😊
Hi! I just wanted to say I love your videos, they give me great ideas on what to knit, and you also give me the video on how to make it step by step and that is really helpful, so thanks you so much.
+Kyra Turner oh! Thank you so much for your nice words! (I just read your comment, sorry for this late reply) I hope you keep enjoying our tutorials :)
Hi Olivia! Sometimes, if the loops on the pegs are not loose enough, it can be difficult to get one over the other... Once you knit one peg, try pulling a little bit the loop that you leave on it before continuing... Let's see if this works :)
Love your video. It's very easy to follow. I'm in the middle of making my first pair. I'm so excited to finish. Thanks again for posting a great video. I'll be looking for more of your stuff :)
Hi bookworm1357911 ! Yes, you can make them using 1 color. Just ignore the part when we add 2 more threads and work all the rounds using the same working yarn :)
I just finished the first one! Now sharing my experience. 😊 I saw someone suggest the second set of 8 grey rows be done with knits and purls, I tried it and I'm sorry. I think the rolled end looks better, and with it not rolling, it is too long, it looks like a mitten that needs closed. But it will still work, I'm making them as a gift and my grey is blue lol and the blue part can be cuffed so they won't be too long.
Brenda Hatfield great news! We'd love to see your fingerless mittens! :) (if you want to, you can send us a picture to info@tuteate.com) Thanks for sharing your experience, we'll try that too (alternating knits and purls avoids the work to roll up, right?). Thank you for your comments
Thank u sooo much now I can make other stuff beside slippers and hats I will get it done You teach very well You should make videos and make money Keep up the great work
This is soooooo simple! Excellent instructions and even though I only had one colour of yarn they still turned out great, even when I thought I messed it up! First time loom knitting and I hope to learn more from you, you just earnt yourself a sub :)
Making my first pair. Boy did I mess up the first one. And I messed up the second one a little too. I wish there was a stitch count, that would help me a lot. Otherwise, great video and it has been very helpful.
Wow, looks really beautiful and fits really well, I'm happy I made it. It took me way longer than 15 minutes though, more like 5 hours for one mitten. lol, tomorrow the other one. Thank you.
I love this pattern! The only thing I have a problem with is the thumb holes. I think they turn out weird for me. To loose! I'm not sure what I do wrong. But I have many to make before Christmas. So I just may perfect it lol. Thank you for doing all of your videos.
Hi TheBronyPonyPegasus games :) Yes, you could try using just 24 pegs of your loom, knitting in flat panel on them and then, at the end, sewing the edges together...
Going to try this such a well done video I am really new to loom knitting so I am going to do this in one color first of all x thank you for such a good video x
Thank you so much for your comment Jessica! So glad to know this tutorial is useful to you! I'll be sharing other types of mittens soon, I hope you like them too ^_^
Lindos tus videos! Muy didacticos. Yo hice varios hace mucho tiempo cuando empezaban los telares, pero fui muy de principiantes. Tus videos me encantan ymla forma como los presentas.
It was me making the mistake with the thumb hole lol I rewatched the video twice more while making more gloves. I wasn't paying attention lol so instead of goofy thumb holes they look great. I just made another pair for my mother and made to many rows for her small little bitty hands. Lol why do I not pay attention lol so I wrote the rows down to adjust length! Also when I wear my gloves everyone asks or comments about how great they are. So thanks so much!!!!
Hi! The loom size used in your tutorial was too big for me: 1,70 height / 65 kilos. The glove was enormous! I am using now a 18 peg ( 9 cm diameter) am it fits much better!
