That’s true there’s always time I work at Amazon 10hr shift would get off sometimes 3am or 5 usually. I would go after work it’s not easy but it’s discipline. I was 360 currently now at 308

I work 7 pm - 3:30/5:00 am depending on how busy the shift is . My first break is at 9 pm and that’s my last meal usually Ground turkey , veggies rice and a protein shake and that’s my last meal . Get home 4-5:30 am and go straight to sleep . I wake up about 11/12 pm and workout fasted . Come back an hour later , make my Meal prep , and my protein shake . It’s about 2 pm by this time and I just chill until 6:30 before I leave to work . I think it’s easier to stay motivated as opposed to a day shift . I feel if you wake up and take care of the gym before everything , it’s all downhill from there . Work is MANDATORY , the gym isn’t . So if you put the gym first your forced to go to work regardless ! Stay safe y’all

Just completed 1 full year of working night shift (I work 11-7 most days not getting off till 8-9am). I’ve definitely let myself go health wise unfortunately and have gained 50lbs within the last year. I’ve lost weight before, but this video was no bullshit and straight to the point! Appreciate it bro

I needed this advice. After almost 15 years of the 11-7 shift I’m starting to gain a lot more weight than usual. I haven’t had a flat stomach since I started this shift but now I’m overweight. I’m putting this plan into practice starting today. ❤

I been working overnight for 7 months now and gained 40 pounds by doing simply the same eating habits I had while working during the day shift. I’m 5’2 whole life been 125-130 and now I’m shook at how much weight I gained didn’t notice until I got on the scale. Soon as I got off I worked out for a hour and was sweating I’m sticking to this I let meat go last month and still didn’t see a difference so now I’m doing workout and 3 day water fast every two weeks

I exercise on the night shift when I get tired. I also just eat an apple or orange. However I need to stop using sleep meds when I get off. That is what causes the weight game plus awful food eating while I'm off.

I do 6:30-5:00 and it’s destroying my body. I’ve gained a lot of weight. Over the last month I replaced water instead of soda and energy drinks and fruit instead of chips and candy and I’ve been feeling better. I’m going to start excercising as well.

I work overnight Monday Night through Friday nights 10pm-8/9am. I found it best for me to go workout right after work while I have the last bit of energy in me which is enough to do an 1 hr 30 mins worth of workouts at most then I’m able to be home and sleep by 11am. Taking your vitamins is very crucial as well.

@@winningwithwells mainly comes down to my nutrition tbh, it’s really a struggle trying eat enough throughout the day since I’m sleeping but I will always have a heavy breakfast that’s low cal right before bed. Have a lunch immediately once I wake up with a protein shake and a heavy dinner with high protein right before work.

Been on nights for a very long time. Lately if been eating like a swine before I go to bed. It’s the worst thing I know but I pass I out and go to sleep. Wake up feeling like absolute shit though and I’m a fat fuck now. I don’t overeat during the day though. Maybe I’ll try some cardio when I get home and see if that keeps the pre sleep food cravings down? Just didn’t want to be wired right before sleep.

Try changing your sleeping environment when you get home as well. Example: Dark curtains, white noise maker, cold temperatures, comfortable bedding/ pillows, melatonin. Try this for 30 days and see if there’s an improvement. Also, cardio will help drop the weight for sure. Eat more filling foods like salads instead of junk foods. Hopefully this helps!

I'm leaning towards doing nightshift but one of my biggest fear is putting extra weight on bc I'm not sleeping or eating right. I already struggle with my diet as a day shift worker . I do 7a to 7p ....istruggle with my weight terribly . So adding night to the equation is really giving me anxiety.

Try your best to focus on controlling what you can. You can still lose weight working night shift, you have to put in the effort to control what you eat and exercise 4x per week. You got this!

Im working as an overnight stocker and feel like I already get a workout and I focus more of protein drinks and an extra healthy food (like tomatoes and tuna) would you still recommend adding the gym someplace in between?

Good you are on the right path. For your situation the gym is going to tie everything else in. I suggest finding a gym that’s open 24hrs this will give you flexibility with your time off work. Also, focus on compound lifts for the first 8 weeks. Bench press, squats, shoulder press, barbell rows, Deadlifts, and lunges. Hopefully this helps!

I genuinely don't know what's wrong with me. I guess I'm lazy. I don't have discipline. I don't have motivation. I'm overweight. I have no social life. I'm single and lonely and I eat horrendously. I just started working nights and I want to start working out in the afternoons when I wake up, before I go to work. This way I'm less tired and I can do it right before I go. But food is my main struggle. I don't know how to quit with the junk food and the fast food. I don't know how to meal prep. Any advice? I need help man. I feel so alone on this and your video gave me a bit of motivation.

I understand your struggle and I suggest whatever you are eating now just cut it in half. Do this for 4 weeks, then transition into meal prepping. You have to build a solid foundation of eating less junk food and fast food first, before you get into meal prepping. Once you do this then the next step will be to meal prep weekly. For now try this and let me know how it goes. Hopefully this helps!

I work 3pm-3am. I’m horrible at dieting. What times should I be eating? Do I eat a hardy breakfast when I wake up? Also, should I try fasting? I’m struggling to lose weight, I’ve been 237 for a minute I want to reach a goal of 190-185. It’s a lot of weight and I get discouraged. Idk, maybe you can help me out. I would start by just incorporating more fruits and vegetables and less fast foods. Far as the timing I would aim for every 3hrs if possible. Fasting can help but it will be difficult working the hours you are currently working. Also weight training will help bring the weight down as well

I work 3:30pm till about 4:30 sometimes 5am. I hit the gym soon as I leave work for about 1 1/2 to 2hrs. I eat once at work on lunch break around 7:45pm and fruit about 12am. But after I leave the gym I’m starving! Should I eat something afterwards before I go to bed or just wait until I wake up which is probably a protein shake?

It depends, I usually just wait until I wake up to eat again after training. Either way, a protein shake is good before or after in my opinion.

idk how i got the point where im at. i was the kid in highschool. top athlete. in my class in college. top 3 athletes (of what i was doing). everyone always asking me how i stay in such good shape. now, prob 70 ish pounds over weight. easy. i cant pull myself out of this mindset or slum... ive been completely drained energy wise almost daily. energy drinks (300mg) doesnt wake me up a bit. idk.

Life happens and we all get off our regiment from time to time. Honestly, you will have to force yourself to get active again. Similar to how it was for you playing sports. Those first few weeks of conditioning are hell but after the initial training, conditioning becomes easier and easier overtime. Start by walking 30mins then increase to 1hr 4-5x per week. Then incorporate weight training after a month of consistent walking/cardio. Hopefully this helps!

Depends, I work 5pm-5am. I try to eat at my first meal before work around 4pm just in case it’s busy when I badge in. My last meal is usually halfway between the shift 11pm-12am

It depends and varies from person to person. I suggest eating a balanced or high protein diet. More meats, more vegetables, and less bread or fast foods. You can eat the same thing regardless if it’s nights or days. That’s what I do

Yes I try to keep a regular eating schedule. I just started night shifts last week. 5pm-5am At work eating schedule: 7pm: Dinner 9pm: Light snack 11pm: Salad or small meal 1am: Snack 5am: protein shake on the way home from work At work I don’t have a defined lunch hour, pretty eat when I have the chance.

@@SideTrack-dx8jt Cool, 4 days a week I suggest: Day 1: Back & Chest Day 2: Legs & Shoulders Day 3: Arms & Core Day 4: Full Body Do the exercises you are comfortable doing and stay between 10-12 reps each exercise. Hopefully this helps you get started

I don't know how you guys gain weight during night shifts. Morning shift makes you fat even more. I mean look at all that luxury of time to eat. When I was in night shift, I'm motivated to move twice as much and as fast just not to fall asleep. I was even eating burgers, steaks and other junk food but never got fat because of it. Plus I'm also endomorphic. When I go home I get straight to shower and bed and NEVER GOT TIME TO EAT because I'm too tired. I lost 30 lbs because of just that alone.

This is true, also there are people who are the opposite as well. I believe if you cook your meals and eat what you bring to work you will do better overall
