@@bismahahmed1182 A month is a stretch but literally, just form can do most of that. I went from 155 to 225 in 3 months once I actually realized the correct form and pushed to failure on each set.

Wow. I was taught this exercise yrs ago at the first gym I belong to by the owner, May he rest in peace ( I thought I was the only one who did this exercise. hehe. I never see anyone doing it at my gym. Funny part is, he told me to visualize hugging a barrel. Everything you just did, was exactly as he taught me.

Just a tip for all of you out there. Bring the handles in at the beggining in pelvis height, and have your hands touch each other for the whole movement. Gives a lot better contact for the chest.

i am doing this exercise bringing my arms close to my body fisrt and then moving the upwards and forward.I m filling the stretch pretty well . is this form wrong ?

SCOTT tell me how much difference does it make with higher cables. In my Gym we don't have low cables. So is it preferable to do this exercise with high cables.???????? PLEASE REPLY :) Thank You.

Yo Scott I got a question about the arm motion. Doing this exercise like you showing works more on the front and interior deltoid? And if so, wouldn't it be more effective rising your arms straight from the bottom inatead of rounding them?

question guys.. my outer chest is pretty big, i do a variety of free weight, dumbell and pec deck and flys to work by chest but it seems that im not hitting the inner chest? any ideas on how to work the inner chest?

this one mainly does upper chest in order to do lower chest you put the cables up abouve head height and bring them down infront of you that will then do lower chest

Hey Scott. Great vid! Just wondering, would you recommend swapping these in for incline dumbbell press every other chest day? The reason I ask is because I really want to hit the 'inner' part of my upper chest, if possible. You hear different things from different people; some say you can't target the inner portion of the chest, rather it's just a matter of building it up as a whole; others say you can, and recommend exercises like these because they keep the tension on it right up until the last minute (unlike dumbbell flys, for instance, where there's no longer any tension after you reach vertical). Hope my question was clear ;)

PS. I use the pec deck machine at the gym, and I think it's really helped hit my lower and mid inner chest; but as I understand it, there's no upper chest option on this machine.

You can’t really target the “inner chest”. Just upper and lower. Movements like db bench press and pec deck are great for overall chest growth. These flies and incline dumbbell press are great for the upper chest. For the lower chest, dips and high to low cable flies are optimal. Hope that helps

Great demo what is that machine called we have one at the gym but I avoid it unsure of injury from misuse ...looking to do leg exercise on it to strengthen my legs...love you video but that noise you make uggg but no biggie that's what headphones are for.lol but you really are awesome😉

cable machine, please don't do leg exercises with it it's not designed for that purpose and you may injure yourself. It can be kind of difficult to balance with this machine. Imagine having two pet dogs pulling on their leads in opposing directions, it can throw you off balance quickly

@drahmedessam hey man, bulking is great if youre working out at the same time. You gotta always remember that carbs that aren't used become fat, so if you were planning on just gaining weight till you are 185, it's a bad idea. Also, about "the curve," you need to work on the overall pectoral area instead of just worrying about the curve. It will all come naturally, but you gotta focus on getting your chests big before you start to carve it up and shape it up.

do i keep shoulder blades back throughout the rep? i didn't keep it back and shoulder feels bad now but if i try to keep shoulder blades back i can't bring my two hands all the way to the front to touch each other.

alvin wong for me its best that you perform this exercise on this jungle gym equipment. it allows your chest to stretch out rather than using the cable only equipment that you'd find in your gym that has adjustable angles. keep your chest perpendicular to the floor as if your showing off your chest to everyone
