I went to the doctor and my LDL was 203. He told me to get healthy. No alcohol, exercise daily, lose weight... and no more Little Caesars, fast food, red meat, and sugar. He said eat salads, fruit, veggies, protein shakes, and chicken breast. I followed his orders and lost 30 pounds in 3 months and now my LDL is 97!
Wow, your doctor didn't immediately mention putting you on a statin? That's a great doctor. I'm looking for another one as I'd rather go the natural route than synthetics.
@@saywhat3654 got a check up 2 weeks ago my ldl was 208. My doc said if i lose weight and take the statin meds that my level will drop and that maybe in a year he could cut my dose in half. I did a shit ton of research and unfortunately paid for the damn medication already (only $30 after my insurance) but i aint taking it. I wanna do it naturally as well and so thats what im doing.
Just had a blood test with not great results. I am a gym nut I stopped because I was studying and under pressure, so no time. Gonna get right back into it. I am fully vegan now. I check everything that I eat. I only have one life. Very unusual for a fit guy like me. I train in Mauy Thai but for a few months I was not controlling my diet. Its all change now. Gonna get my LDL down naturally. I had my warning. Thanks Doc👍🏿👏🏿👏🏿
Thank you!! All you said is 100% truth about and on how to decrease and increase the bad and good Cholesterol. After I've married, my lifestyle has 100% changed and now unfortunately developing bad health problems. Thank You again! That lifestyle and exercise plus setting a goal in life are just like you mentioned super-duper important for everyone. May God bless!! you.
Well, here I am, a relatively fit 32 years old guy who was under the impression that high cholesterol doesn't concern him, yet the results say otherwise. Thanks for the great informative video!
I gained 7 pounds and my cholesterol shot up 30 points in 3 months. I eat a healthy diet very little dairy, lots of veggies and fruit, lean meats rarely eat red meat only grass fed. I walk about 3-5 miles 5 days a week and weight lift.
Genetics play a huge role in this, I eat healthy/ lean but always test at or above 200 where my brother in law eats awful (i can count the times I saw him eat a vegetable, drinks tons of sugary drinks, red meat, starches, and dessert is the only thing he finishes on his plate, drinks alcohol, smokes, is obese sweats sitting in a chair, yet his numbers are well below 200. Go figure?
Fantastic! You are one of the good ones. 🎉 Keep putting things out on how we can work with nature and good nutrition to stay away from unnecessary medicines. Thank you.
Great video! You explained the natural ways to lower cholesterol really well. As a qualified Nutritionist, I completely agree that the best way to lower cholesterol is by changing your diet and including the right foods that help lower ldl levels.
Kudos for the Video clip! Apologies for butting in, I would love your initial thoughts. Have you researched - Riddleagan Surviving Death Remedy (should be on google have a look)? It is a great one of a kind guide for reducing your cholesterol level without the normal expense. Ive heard some great things about it and my friend Sam at last got amazing results with it.
Thanks for the Video clip! Sorry for chiming in, I am interested in your thoughts. Have you researched - Riddleagan Surviving Death Remedy (should be on google have a look)? I agree with you about olive oil Being a healthy choice, but you mentioned, canola oil, and I have been told that this increases inflammation. What do you think about that?
Your'e the man bro thanks for the tips i think fasting and more exercise and only eating salmon and tuna and beans from here on out is something I am going to aim for plus fruits ,vegetables, garlic and cayenne.

@@GG-pd6yp cut carbs by 70%, all sugar, up ur exercise and water intake. For drinks get zevia flavored drinks or flavcity keto lemonade and grapefruit powder. Increase green veggies. Oatmeal, chia seeds ground flax seed, spinach, cauliflower and brocolli also helped me. Think green!
24 y'o 2017 - my first medcheck 240 total cholestrol 25 y'o 2018 - went down to 220 26 y'o 2019 - went to 160 28 y'o 2021 - back again 260 ATH Covid make me unactive, and eat too much... time to start again.. thanks for the information doc
Your cholesterol was never even high, just borderline okay. And at only 25, it’s not an issue. At 70, I can see the need to control and monitor. I know people with 320 and up total cholesterol, and that’s a little high if you’re elderly. Cholesterol is essential for life, it’s often given a bad reputation in order to boost medication sales
Thank you!! I needed to see this!! I was so discouraged I was ready to surrender to taking my Chloestrol Rx Dr gave me. But I really don’t want a statin. Thank you so much. I will do all suggestions here now.
Great video, with good detail. The odd word tow2ards the end I didn't catch and could have done with a screen wording so I could get the word. Overall loved the good advice as I start my cholesterol lowering journey. Thank you
Appreciate Video! Sorry for the intrusion, I would love your initial thoughts. Have you thought about - Riddleagan Surviving Death Remedy (search on google)? It is a great exclusive product for reducing your cholesterol level minus the normal expense. Ive heard some pretty good things about it and my best friend Jordan at last got great results with it.
Thank you very much!!! it sad the doctors that we have don't give you the option to tell you how to avoid things and how to add things they'd rather medicate you with cholesterol medicine my dad was overly processed with cholesterol medicine and potassium which make his feet feel unnatural
Well done Erik , super video and so well delivered to with all the necessary advice and directions. You are so natural on camera I am surprised that a tv company hasn't offered you a contract yet !
Thanks doctor for this very informative video. I have one question though which i hope you will be able to clarify for me. Does eating EGGS raise bad cholesterol levels? If so, how many eggs in a week can we eat to avoid its harmful effects. Would appreciate a reply. Thanks and God bless
so I had 264 cholesterol and the other one is high too both high. My doctor wanted to start me on Lipitor, which ruins the muscles in your legs and I said no she said OK. Well, let’s do a heart scan and see how much plaque is in your arteries well, I took the heart scan and she called me. She said you have zero plaque in your arteries and the reason why is because I was drinking a half cup to one cup of pomegranate juice a day for a month then after that, I started drinking it a couple times a week plus I would take pomegranate tablets four times a week but the first month you keep drinking it❤❤
I was drinking Pom pomegranate juice, but sometimes it’s hard to find if they’re out of it so I went to the pomegranate tablets you get at the Health food store take that twice a day every day for a month and you’ll be as clean as a whistle. I buy source naturals pomegranate extract tablets they are slim and easy to swallow. You can take it on an empty stomach won’t bother you at all and I take it twice a day and clean out your arteries and veins just like a Drano does to your pipes. also keep plaque out of your brain.
Cholesterol essential for health: It is 30% of the cell membrane where it provides fluidity and transport functions; it is the precursor for the production of testosterone, oestrogen and Vitamin D. As dietary cholesterol is esterified it is very poorly absorbed in the gut and so has little effect on blood cholesterol. Therefore the body has to make most of the cholesterol it needs. The organ with the most cholesterol is the brain, which is why a diet high in saturated fats cures epilepsy.
My cholesterol went from 209-245 LDL in last four yrs from 27-32, currently drink 4-9 shots a day, eat cheese, eggs, salami, fried potatoes, fried fish, milk shakes, ground pork and beef, bacon, lots of butter, creamer, creamy soups as my entire diet, no veggies or fruit or grains for probably 12 years. Most of the time I’m 5ft 2in 103lbs and a personal trainer, I look super healthy but I’m not
Very helpful suggestions and ideas . I'm not overweight and eat pretty well but need to up my exercise level and lose 8lbs or so. I will also start taking Red Yeast rice supplements. I don't take any pharmaceuticals, only natural supplements and have just discovered that I have Sjogrens Syndrome an autoimmune thing.
Thanks for this video my cardiologist acts like he doesn't really have time to explain things to me and just wants to push statins. Even the nurses I talk to they act like they know stuff but I really don't think they do because they can't even tell me what my test results mean.
It does have more cholesterol but it doesn’t seem to raise our cholesterol. It is a good source of Omega-3 fatty acids which have a lot of benefit. So in moderation, it’s a good thing!
@@ghostmae2405 Trying too. Still eat yummy fatting food a couple times a week. If I don't I tend to get depressed knowing I can't eat sometime that taste great.
I love how every doctor tells you to do something different, I was just watching another doctor that told me almost the opposite of what this doctor is saying! How is that possible?
I have high cholesterol and my doctor suggests it may be hereditary. My HDL is good. My LDL is high. I had a Coronary Calcium test completed in 2019 and it showed no calcification. I eat clean, lift 4-5 days a week, and I don't want to take a statin. Any suggestions?
My doctor recently done a blood test and discovered I have very high cholesterol. I was stupefied as I exercise regularly (go to the gym 4 times a week), don't drink, don't smoke, eat healthy , rarely eat junk food and the majority of my food is 85% unprocessed. Turns out my family, on both sides, has a history of having high cholesterol. A double whammy. I'm currently on medication to lower my cholesterol.
Sometimes medication is necessary along with healthy lifestyle. I also exercise regularly and eat healthy but need to take medication to lower my triglycerides. Keep up the good work!
I am the very same never smoked or drank alcohol eat healthy walk every day do yoga my family can’t believe it I have high cholesterol high ish blood pressure getting it down going through menopause my mother was a chain smoker eats crisps cakes everyday at 84 never had a problem I am having to go on statins
