Posted three years ago and I needed it today, I inherited my grandmothers 755 13 years ago, I’m finally getting around to using it, I better get some oil and grease on all those points, thanks for taking the time to share this with us visual learners!

Thank you so much for this awesome video! I inherited this model from a friend who moved out of the country 17 years ago. I tried using it a decade ago and had some issues with the stitching tension. I fixed it but realized it needed a good oiling. Got the oil but life got in the way and am now just getting around to oiling it. I upset a family of spiders to start it up again. It sounded so bad. I am grateful for this video because my machine now sounds, well, like a well oiled machine!😂

This was incredibly helpful!! Really appreciated the pace and the close-ups of where to place lubricant. My 55 year old machine runs like new! Thank you!!!!

Very useful video. Now I’ll apply what I saw to my Singer 626 Touch and Sew. 😊

Thanks for this video. I have my first Singer sewing machine that my husband purchased 50 years ago when my eldest son was barely over 1 yr. Old. I’ve used it so much in the past but it’s not been working for a few years due to needing a good oiling. I used to get it serviced but now the cost of getting a cleaning and oiling costs more than I paid for it so many years ago. Thanks again.

Not very expensive too if in Malaysia. Can ask the sewing machine man how for servicing don't just leave it like that😂

Excellent! Really appreciate the information as was able to oil my 1970's model 750 for the first time. Had not been able to use it in over 12 years. Thank you very much.

Just got one of those machines and it binds a bit so I took apart and started oiling. Your video helps me know where to do and I thank you profusely for it. Very relaxing with the music and watching you work. Just need a glass of wine. Thanks again.

So grateful for your video. I purchased a new machine and it broke twice! I paid more for repairs than I paid. So I purchased this machine at a thrift store. It's beautiful and works great. This video helped me become familiar with the machine and general maintenance. Thanks

Thank you for showing how to remove the front cover to oil the stitch length and buttonhole dials. Mine were so tight they could barely move!

Thank you for doing this. I have a small project and dug out my husband's 750 model. It has so many pieces with it that I feel a bit overwhelmed. It is like a complete time capsule. Maintenance, cleaning, and oiling the machine is priority #1 for me. Now I know where to apply lubrication, thanks to you. Especially since it has just been sitting for years. But it does appear to be functioning just fine. If I would need any parts, what would be a good resource?

Thank you for posting this video. It is very informative. I just purchased a used model Touch and Sew Golden model 750 for my cousin because it is similar to my 42 years old Touch and Sew Model 776. My Touch and Sew was only serviced once because the top bobbin winder was not evenly winding. That may have been 20 years ago. Recently, the plastic C-cam washer broke and it appears simple to replace (despite the narrow access space) but I don't know how to remove the top of a Touch and Sew that have a bobbin winder on top of the machine. Can you show me how?

How do you replace the tension spring on a Touch & Sew 750? Thanks. I wish you would do a video on it. 🙂

My gears on my 758 look pretty funky they don’t appear to be cracked, but they have white moldy stuff on them and gummed up grease. I understand that they do not take oil or grease. So to wash them can I take alcohol with a toothbrush, and just clear them of all debris and not add anything to them. And how do you remove the handwheel?

I ended up having to part out my 758. I’m at the point where I’m trying to get the motor out. Do I just cut the wires as high up as possible?

Thank you for this great info , but I can't get that logo off the front panel. At 4'20" you have the Singer logo popping up but don't show how you got it to do that. The logo on my 758 is flush with the panel and has no space to wedge anything under it. How do you get it to come off without damaging it? I am assuming it is supposed to come off. Would appreciate advice on how to remove it (and the on/off switch above) so the panel can be released.

At the bottom of the logo theres a little space where you could insert a screwdriver to pry it up. It feels wrong but I managed to do it without damaging. .I have the 758 as well

Same here! Kept looking for the notch/space to wedge something in and just missed it! Thanks for asking the question and to the person who answer with the tip!!

I have this Singer 758 machine, but mine has rubber feed dogs. The model that is being oiled in this video has metal ones. The ones on my machine are very worn and I have to use a walking foot for a lot of sewing. Is it possible to get metal ones installed on my machine?

@@sarawilliams8077 not yet but I think I'll write directly to the email. I love my machine but the rubber feed dog problem is significant. I bought new ones from sewingpartsonline but also saw that they sold metal ones for this model.

My 1970 has rubber feed dogs too. I cleaned them real good and cleaned everything, oil and grease, they work great.
