It's crazy how this actually works! Some time ago I hit a "dry spell", had poor dream recall, couldn't get lucid for like 2 months when I finally said to my self "Time to stop trying, take a break, stop focusing on lucid dreaming for a while" In the next few days I just randomly thought to myself in a dream "Hey, why not do a reality check" and I did, and when I found out I was in a dream, I've decided to try to teleport, since I've never tried that in a dream before :D I looked up at the ceiling of the room I was in and started spinning really quickly until the ceiling was all blurry. Then when I started slowing down, there was no more ceiling above me, but cool green leaves and branches of trees. I was in a cozy, calming forest, within a few seconds, it felt awesome! Unfortunately, there was another person in the forest with me and once they started talking to me, which I paid a bit too much attention to and stopped being lucid. Let me know if anyone does this spinning teleportation thing too! :D
After 14 days of trying ive had my first lucid dream that was about 30 sekonds long. I wasnt able to do anything because I was just doing reality checks because I didnt believe my eyes but next time i will levitate!
And yeah, from time to time I thought about my breathing, which started to distract me from the video a little. When I focused on carefully listening and absorbing/understanding what you were saying, I stopped thinking about my breathing. But it did come back occasionally.
I try to watch your videos as much as possible cause ya never know when a technique could work, plus you have the science behind everything so I trust ya over all the fake videos on RU-vid
I had my first lucid dream tonight, all thanks to your videos! I did a lot of mindful reality tests for like 3 or 4 days and I already got big results! Of course I remembered to do lots of reality test in the dream world too! At first I was sure to be awake, but when I did my reality test and found out I was dreaming it felt like if reality was falling apart. I was able to fly, it was super realistic, tho I wasn't that good at it, I even summoned a monster to willingly train me to not be scared of such things since in the dream world I'm the one in charge and it worked! All thanks to you, you're the only one that actually gives good advice. Have a nice day and thank you for sharing your knowledge!
Congratulations!!! That's absolutely fantastic news! Keep up the good work, those results are very quick, so it suggests you have a natural gift for this. Stay lucid and thanks for the kind words!
I mustn't think about breathing, I mustn't think about breathing, I mustn't th- and now I'm manually breathing! For the first minute, it was genuinely hard to not think about breathing, but after overwhelming my mind by overthinking about other things, I had almost forgotten that it was a mission in the video! Of course, also playing with one of my pets helped with it, but it was difficult! Getting stuff unstuck out of my head is also difficult, also stated in the video. Most of the times it's a variety of Fall Out Boy songs that fight to see which is the song of the day (or week) but sometimes it's a random jingle from a commercial or something that I really find annoying. Sometimes the thought of lucid dreaming and my dream goal get stuck in my head and it becomes a source of something (no word really works, but it's a negative feeling). I have found that at times where I feel like quitting, I do tend to have a lucid dream within a few days of the struggle. It's fascinating what the brain can do against itself! Really enjoyed the video and the song! When are you uploading the song onto music apps so I can add it to my playlist?
This is so weird. So, do you recommend alternating between active practice and this reverse psychology effect? It will be interesting to try to "mean it" if my intent in "meaning it" is to get myself to think of it by trying not to think of it! I mean, if I really didn't want to think about it, I would not be trying to psych myself out in this way. It's a mind-bender!
Awww tweek that's very nice of you to say, I'm terrible at taking compliments but appreciate them. As for wonky eye stuff, it's there but I think our idiosyncrasies are what make each or us unique. Stay lucid!
Not fully related to the video but I had a dream that you uploaded a "proper way to do a reality check video" and I began typing out my comment saying "I've been getting sloppy with them lately." Could be that my brain is trying to tell me something!
@@LucidDreamPortal hahahahahaha doesn't matter do a realitycheck. Oh i send a email with the study about the dream characters, when you have time again!
I thought about my breathing... Also i have a hard time following the idea of this kind of reverse psychology because having an end goal that contradicts with the antitask doesn't do it for me. In the breathing thing, the goal was the same as the antitask but for lucid dreaming, it's the opposite. Anyway, nice song
Good video. Maybe another way to look at this is to learn to discern yourself and your efforts and when you get too obsessed with becoming lucid, just back off abit, learn to relax and not force the situation (especially when WILDing)… balance seems to be one of the keys of consistent lucid dreaming (for me, anyways)
I'm going to try this tonight. Today happens to be day 50 of me trying to get a WILD by observing hypnogogia, with only a few success's with the last one 20ish days ago. If it works I'll comment again. Thank you for the idea.
it worked, sorta. I had a normal dream but then i woke up in the early morning and tried it again and i had a lucid dream. I woke up a few times but I went right back into it like 3 or 4 times. super fun.
Yesterday in a dream i was flying with another person. During it i was explaining how cool lucid dreaming is. Enough signs to become lucid but no😂😂. Two weeks ago since last ld. Is the longer stretch since i started with focussing on it. Thanks for content❤
The song was wonderful 😂😂 but besides of that it is a very nice tip, I often struggle with intrusive thoughts and when I want to not think about something then it is hard for me to not do it so I hope this will help! I really appreciate your efforts! Edit: today I had one lucid dream and I almost became lucid in another one!
Elysium: I and my alters Luise, Corvis, and Bazal have been having this really difficult problem that is a Barrier preventing my system from dream journaling for our own safety. We have realized we suffer from nightmares but specifically especially our System's truama holders when dreaming suffer them the most. And when we Record our dreams we start REMEMBERING our nightmares. So someone thought if we don't write, than we won't remember them, and they'll stop, and that's true. But then when we start dream journaling again, the nightmares seemingly come back but really we're remembering our dreams more. I don't want to keep having nightmares. I want to dream about being SAFE in a SAFE place with Max, where we can just be happy together. I have worked SO hard on my truama too be better. Why can't I STOP having nightmares? It's not nearly as bad as it used to be, and it's only a few times a month now usually. But it's still Terrible. We'll see people hurting us, or yelling at us, or mocking us and we feel scared sometimes. So we Forget and stop dream journaling when we're stressed to stop having the nightmares. This morning Luise woke up from another bad one. Also, crossing out parts of our dream we don't like or not writing just the parts we don't like doesn't seem to stop it. Getting angry at the nightmares and telling them we hate them and going to war with them also doesn't seem to stop them. How can I defeat them and Defend myself and my system from these Unwanted dreams? We think it is all directly tied to our truama.
Hey i need help. So this years summer i plan to start working out And well i wont be able to do wbtb methods. So im gonna focus on quality of sleep and practices. Does that decrease my chances for lucid dreams?
No that won't have any negative impact. I recommend watch the videos about WBTB here on the channel, it is absolutely not a technique I'd recommend not is it something required for lucid dreaming.
Hi everyone, I've been dream journaling and performing reality checks for a month or two now, and I've only had one lucid dream but it only lasted a second. Does anyone have any suggestions for people like me, that are not naturally gifted for lucid dreaming?
Hello I had my second lucid dream last night but I couldn’t fly or spawn video game characters etc… even tho I focused do you know why? Btw I think I was lucid because I set an alarm and I ignored it 5 or 6 times that caused lucid dream I believe
Hey it not about the video but if I am trying to have better dream recall and I am doing jernaling for like two weeks but I remember like two dreams per week can I even get better dream recall cause I don't even remember alot
@@idanbarnefy Drawing a picture of your most recent vivid dream can be effective. Also, recalling the events of your day as you go to sleep can be extremely effective. Feel free to reach out if you need more help
I will not think about my breathing. Edit: Well, as much as I wanted to forget it, I failed of course. But maybe if you, for the rest of the video, talked about a completely different subject, I probably would have succeeded.
Wait. I watched to the end, and experienced that um... amazing song, so if I do type the forbidden word (does it have to be 4 times?) in the comments, will it change the past and make it so that the song didn't play? I am so tempted!
@@LucidDreamPortal Seems legit. I've heard of the double-slit experiment. This is the quadruple wonk experiment. Maybe it will put me in a universe where you won the lottery based on my numbers. ;-)
