I'm bi and I have finally started to accept myself. I still haven't come out but I'm excited for this pride month because it's my first. Hopefully next year it will be my first one while I'm out!
Drarry_Addict God intended it to be only Man and Woman. I’ll also pray for you to seek god and his word, and separate yourself from your sinful way and thought. I know no one is perfect and neither am I. I’m far from perfect actually lol but i’m seeking him during the end times. Please seek him, he’s on his way very soon... the prophecies are coming true.
SHOWS AND MOVIES I LOVE: The half of it Euphoria Alex Strangelove I'm not okay with this Love Simon MUSIC: ALL of Hayley Kiyokos music ( I LOVE HER OML)
Jonathan Van Ness has a great podcast “Getting Curious With JVN” and every week they talk about a topic that he’s curious about (hence the title). Anyways you should check it out!
You have absolutely helped- I've been working on an LGBTQ+ project for college & your chosen family vids have helped so much with inspiration & information! Thank you 🏳️🌈💖
this video made me so proud to be part of the community and even though there is no pride parade happening this year, i can still feel the love and support from those around me!! happy pride month everyone!
There is a similar show to We're Here in the UK called Drag SOS which I'd definitely recommend! It is on Channel 4 in the UK but I don't know if you can get it anywhere else.
Omg Tyler, I am gonna watch Love Victor!!!!! I don't know if you remember me, but I saw Love Simon with you when you came to Miami. That was one of my happiest moments watching that movie, during a time when I was struggling with my sexuality. Thank you for showing me and everyone that it is perfect to be whoever you are. Because of you, I gained confidence in myself and for the last 2 years, I've been with my wonderful boyfriend. My boyfriend is actually blind and you showed me that I should be accepting of everyone, no matter their race, gender, disability, etc.. I know you may not see this comment, but I wanted to thank you for changing my life. Because of you and your videos, I put myself out there and found the love of my life. Thank you for being you. I hope sometime in the future I can meet you again. Thank you for spreading kindness and awareness. I will always be a fan, -Brett
oh my gosh tyler this was AMAZING!! thanks for all these awesome recs (and also side note ur videos are just so CLEAN? aesthetic? professional? i love em all, thank you!!)
If you're interested in more LGBT content. Try reading this comic book called "Check, Please!" By Ngozi Ukazu. You can read it for free online because the creator made it accessible for people to read. I hope you enjoy it❤❤❤
Greyson Chance is another incredible gay musical artist. He released an album in 2019 called Portraits but he’s always putting out singles and there is a fabulous song called Dancing Next To Be. He became famous from covering the bisexual QUEEEEN Lady Gaga’s Paparazzi when he was a kid in 2010.
Yesss Tyler Oakley. I have not had a good pride this month. My dad outed me because he found my tik tok and questioned me about it at like 12 AM. Then my mom told me I was to young to know today. Ugh for me but have a good pride
Can I just put something straight about this gay vid? Simply Seeing Tyler just made my day. How could you be so cute 😭 Everyone, no matter who you are, stay proud. Love. 🌈
documentary on netflix i just watched was disclosure! it focuses on trans representation and just as a heads up it's kind of uncomfy and sad to watch until there's like 40 min left, then it gets positive. it also mentions a couple shows that have good representation as well Keiynan Lonsdale also just came out with a new album! 10/10
There's a film literally just called Pride and it's SO GOOD. It's a true story about a group called Lesbians and Gays Support the Miners (LGSM) coming together with a small Welsh mining town. It's heartwarming and heartbreaking at the same time. Truly recommend it!
LOVE LOVE LOVE this!! Thank you so much for putting it together. (omg that Sondiem song just jumped in my head... ) anyway, thank you Tyler.Oh, and please never apologize for your raunchy side... I love that about you!! lol gives me hope
A really really good book is The Symptoms of Being Human by Jeff Garvin. It follows a genderfluid main character and their journey in a new school (finding new friends and struggling with bullying because they look androgynous), coming out to their politician parents, and much more. As a genderfluid it was an amazing book and I could really connect with the main character
My favourite LGBTQ+ art work is a theatre price. The Laramie Project is a verbatim play written about the murder of Matthew Shepard. A theatre company comes into the town where Matthew was murdered for being openly gay and every event and line is verbatim what the people of Laramie said in response to the murder. It is a book and a movie (which can be found here on RU-vid). :)
Thanks for the recos! One correction though: Desi is a term that refers to South Asians. Southeast Asia refers to the region containing the Philippines (biased lol), Malaysia, etc. Happy Pride!
Theres a new book recently released called the gravity of us. I havent read it yet but the blurb looks soo good and i will be reading it as soon as it arrives 🖤🖤🏳️🌈🏳️🌈 Edit: just to clarify its a gay book in which the sons of two nasa workers fall in love 🥰
Ooh yay excited for some new podcasts to listen to! Recently read Felix Ever After by Kacen Callender, a book about a trans boy figuring out his identity and its just so good. Listening to Rina now and she's so brilliant!
We had a version of ‘we’re Here’ , in the UK, called drag S.O.S. The family gorgeous went to a few cities, towns and villages and helped 3 people (per episode) gain more confidence and learn. There was perform a drag show at the end.
Hey Tyler, Queering Desi is a South Asian and not South East Asian podcast. The word Desi is a hindi/urdu word and is used to address people of South Asian origin. Happy Pride !
For lesbians who want to cry I recommend the movie Portrait of a Lady on Fire on Hulu! If you want to be happy I recommend She-ra on Netflix! For music I’ve been loving girl in red, Hayley Kiyoko, and Kehlani! 🏳️🌈
