I think i'm going to start a service that just equalizes sound for RU-vidrs that have no idea how to make it so I don't have to turn my volume up and down every 20 seconds.

This was not the video described in the title. You hardly mention anything about how the container or cavity of the mold was made. This should have been called "How to make a beautiful tray from a mold"

I would be happy to do a longer format video on the conatiner making, It's just a box inside another box with an open top. I put in the overlay text caption the materials used, which is HDPE. Thanks for the suggestions!

Thanks for the video. What material did you use to make the inner box? I see that you used silicone on the right angle joints of the box. Will that silicone bond with your final silicone pour when making the final silicone mold?

Hi! If I have a model of 18 mm thickness, 500 length and 200 width, how thick to make the sides of silicone mold, so it does not deform when filled with resin? Would 5-7mm be enough, what do you think?

Awesome video. Thanks for show us amateurs how doable this really is. Couple of questions though. How much of the silicone did it take for your pour I can calculate but am just lazy. Also, do you use any type of mold release agent either when pouring the silicone or making your boards (which are beautiful by the way)? I also assume you did not have to worry about small amounts of trapped air in the silicone before pouring.

Sorry for not responding sooner! This used 1 gallon of silicone. Yes I use mold release when pouring epoxy, I spray the mold release first.

Did you pressure pot the silicon? The site recommends vacuum degassing, but I don’t have one and wanted to know how crucial it was to the curing quality?

My only negative, is the difference between the sound of your speaking voice and the music. Set the volume for your voice and then when it changes to music, just about blast your ear drums☹️

What do you think of large mold for table tops for coffee table, dining table? Do you think it will be reliable considering the size of project?

For a coffee table it would be fine, craftedelements sells really large sizes. Dining table would be too expensive, lots of silicone!

Silicone is very expensive, This one was $200 in materials. A 5 foot one would be over $700 in materials + labor so around $1000 total.
