Cela m'a donné faim, miam, miam!
Ihave been looking at a variety of ways to build my own Tandoor at home, however I did not care for the terracotta flower pot versions in the garbage cans. Both due to looks, as well as thier somewhat smaller size. The biggest issue is we live in a campground at the lake and are not allowed to build anything permenant. Then I saw this. I think it will fit pretty much perfect on a standard plastic pallet. Then if we leave a front end loader with forks can load it into a truck for transport. About what is the interior dimensions so I can look at getting the wood grates and accessories, also what size is that lid? Lastly, did you use fire cement? Or was that plain morter?
Hi great video, can you share the list of materials with quantities needed to build this tandoor oven? Can you also share the equipments used so i can buy them from the store. Sorry i am a newbee and trying to learn
@@Creativeproject2020 All kidding aside, I'd love to play with a tandoor sometime ... ive never used one, but i know a good smattering of indian dishes and bread styles, both northern and southern. I usually use a stovetop CI plancha or a flat CI tortilla griddle to make say a week's worth of naan or stretched flat breads, whenever I need/want a break from sourdough. Then again, heating one up would be kinda wasteful for a houaehold of two ... thats why they were/are mostly used either for large households or regular entertaining, or communally, or in restaurants. I'm still envious, even though its impractical for my modest needs. Great job. 😍👍
Can you share a list of materials used for this project? Specifically, what kind of bricks, clay and mortar did you use? I am based in the USA and would like to build this but am confused on what type of clay to purchase. I am guessing you used refractory cement/mortar but not sure about the bricks if they are high heat ones or not. Could you kindly share a shopping list for this?
Thank you. The purpose of covering with cement layer is to protect against wind and rain. If you do not use cement, wind and rain will wash away the clay layer 🤣
