How to make a beer box cowboy hat (revised)

This was a great video, I used a root bear box(mainly bc I’m 14😂) and it still worked fine i had to do a few adjustments and the measurements weren’t exactly the same, but it turned out pretty good for a cardboard box hat

This is a awesome video! Gonna try with some soda boxes first. I did a template on poster board, turned out nice.

Just made one using three 12 packs of Hazy Little Things IPAs!!

I just made the whole thing in 4 hours with the Budweiser cases and i used staples to secure the top of the hat

You could try scoring the edges that you want to glue together so the epoxy or glue has some texture to grip on to

I will be looking forward to the results of your experiment in reducing the hat size. I think it's really cool that you sew. I don't know if this will be easier or save time but about a year ago I put wire in the brim of a Felt Fedora that I made for myself. What I did was purchase piping and I pulled out the cord and inserted the wire in the chamber where the cord was. After I did it I realized that I could have inserted the wire without removing the cord. This may be easier that cutting strips of fabric for the wire.

I guess i'm not the brightest bulb, I traced and cut out a template using the measurements from the first video. Now I have a template without reference marks. Anyway, my brother has a serious peanut head, he said his head around is 22 inches. My question is, if I make the hat and the top brim the original size from the first video and then make the hole in the bottom brim his head size...do you think that would work? The basic hat would be the same size only the head hole would be smaller? Please advise.

Am I missing something from an older video because you just pulled out your "template brim" in the later half of the video and I have no clue how to make that or the dimensions on that

on the crown, for the middle section you measure yours at 4 3/4". mine is 6 1/4" so do I still make it using that measurement or should I measure out the 4 3/4"?
