Check out this project. Its a giant coffee mug display rack. This one was challenging to me, just because of the size. It turned out awesome though. #mugrack #coffecuprack #coffeemugholder

It is always a good choice to build something more durable. The time it takes to re-enforce is well worth it. Great build, Jeff! :)

It looks great, but I think I would have rounded off the corners of the horizontal bars, maybe ½" radius.

I thought since the dowels were on the back, "Why not use screws, it would be much easier?" But when you stated it would be for a customer, I understood why you went with dowels. For my own use, I would use screws, for a paying customer, it would be dowels. I don't trust my gluing process. Maybe, I just need to trust the glue.

For me, I'd be ok with glue and screws. I still feel the glue would hold, but I'll not chance it. 👍

I'm relatively new to woodworking.. would glue with Brads from behind have held? I wouldn't trust glue alone at all. if adding dowels, I'd almost use the dowels in front as a feature.

Brad's would probably work good too. I like your idea of making it a feature. Maybe a contrasting wood. Cool. 👍

Since the back will not be seen, I would not be concerned with appearance much. For speed I would use brads or staples to secure the glue.

That would have helped. 👍

Are the peg holes drilled all the way through?
@homebuiltshop
@homebuiltshop 5 лет назад
No, I only went part of the way. You can drill right through, it's a little easier but I think it looks cleaner if you dont. 👍

Whack a dowel. That was a boat load of them. It's pretty cool though. 👍🌵
