You made a wedding ring for me out of a Morgan silver dollar 4 years ago! It is still holding up great! Awesome to watch how you make these! God bless.
That's about a 2K gold piece. I bet it will be beautiful on anyone's hand! I wear a 1997 $50 gold piece that I gave my late mother for her 60th birthday in 1997. It means the world to me to wear it in her memory. I never dreamed when I gave it to her that I would be given it back in 2018. God bless our Moms and Dads! I really enjoyed this video!
I purchased a custom made 1964 Silver Kennedy Half Dollar ring from this gentleman. Craftsmanship was perfect and it is one of my most prized possessions!
If I ever got a gold ring, I would love one made out of a genuine gold coin. Such a neat idea, especially for a coin collector and enthusiast. Same with silver too, awesome!
For a one ounce gold coin, it's a couple grand. It would be a cool ring, but it's not something I'd risk doing myself. Silver one ounce coins are about $40. That I could see giving a try.
My wife and I just had Skyler make a 1oz and 1/2oz American Gold Eagle coin rings for us and we could be happier. The results are amazing and the turnaround time was very quick. Thanks Skyler for making this happen.
This video cracks me up... He gives very detailed instructions like there’s a whole segment of rare gold coin collectors interested in destroying the value of their rare and expensive coins. On next weeks video, hundred dollar bill confetti making.....
@@MPD90 not rare? so 1oz gold coins are pretty common. gold was trading for roughly $1100-1400 per oz. in 2017 when this was made. i dont have any gold coins hanging around the house currently, and neither do most of the country. that would make the coin "rare to most folks".
Come on mannnn, don’t be petty. These sell at a little mark up compared to spot, and if ppl want to make it a ring, so be it, you sell the scrap left over at or below spot for the weight it is! It’s for fun. Plus gold eagles arent 24k like the Gold buffalos ( I have a Buffalo) so they’re more durable
Fellow coin collectors, instead of getting triggered because of this video, notice the fact that the coin is a 1997 bullion coin, not a BU double eagle. He isn't destroying anything spectacular, just a small premium.
Some coin collectors died watching this video. Edit 2 years later: guys I dont know anything about coin collecting. I only see shiny and pretty. Dindn't intend to start a debate about the morality of making rings out a coins.
I just stumbled across this in my recommended videos, and I just wanted to say that your craft work is awesome to see! Funnily enough, I used to live in Yamhill county myself, so if I am ever in the market for a ring I'll definitely go to you!
hello brother, I'm from Indonesia. The first time I saw your ring making content was amazing. If only I could have one of your rings. Maybe I'm very lucky to have it. I really like your design. Keep up the good work. , and success for you. Our greetings from Indonesia
You get out of it what you put into it. Someone who has never done it can learn to do it in one afternoon. But to do it well takes a lot of time and practice.
+John Tawes Haha! I know just what you mean. It took me a while to decide to do a video on these because of how much attention it takes away from me actually making the ring. That and the camera and tripod are always right in the way.
Impressive craftsmanship with close attention to detail. I think I have watched this video at least four times, so far! Great combination of using these simple but marvellous tools and application of your skills. Thanks and please continue to refine your art, it’s a pleasure to watch.
Had to have one. Ordered a size 15 today on the phone. Great service very helpful. Looking forward to trying it on for the first time. Now the Diamond Eternity Band is so nice but I am not at that $$ level yet.
Well this is going straight to bookmarks. Checked the webshop and your prices are insanely fair looking at how much work goes in to each ring. Hoping to be ordering one soon.
Coming from UK I thought a gold eagle coin was a coin showing a picture of a golden eagle and I love wildlife! Obviously I was wrong and I am a twit! Anyway I enjoyed your very technical video sir. Thank you. As someone else commented, anyone who has a sign up saying "I love Jesus" must be a good man and of course Jesus loves you too! Blessings and peace
I saw a person put one on these on a track right before the train came. Turned out as flat as an atom. Probably stretched out 20 inches. I still wonder how that man managed to find one of these in Japan.
Damn, that's beautiful work. I make handstamped jewelry, and I absolutely love your work. I would love to win these and make even more gorgeous items for my customers! Thank you for the chance. Liked, shared and subscribed! ❤️
Hey man, that was the coolest ring making process I've seen thus far... not just 'how to' but look at the end result...one hell of beautiful ring. Gosh I wish I could have it. Keep it up bro.🇬🇾
Are you aware that the famous Aussie poem 'the man from snowy river' is in text in the background of the note. With good eyes you can just read it but with a magnifying glass much easier.
+ProCali Adventures They aren't cheap for sure. Right now they are $1,480. The price moves up and down based on gold price. Most of the cost is the coin itself.
Coin Rings from The Mint - Change You Can Wear sounds good, do you have a Store or PayPal acount? or í have some mexican gold coins let me see which one and ill get back ti you with the dimensiions or specs of the coin. thanks and good luck.
Whats up DD , yes, im gona give it till next erosion season to find one, if not we will just have to crack some gold coins till we get it right! hahah, see ya soon . BS y FP:
@@Ruthless9o7 Uh, have you seen the latest price for 1 troy ounce of gold? It is around 1900 US dollars. Plus, these coins are legal tender...probably not supposed to be destroying them in the fires of Mount Doom to make jewelry.
Scott wish you showed it on a hand, I like to see the width difference between a 1/2 silver coin and the gold. Also would like to see one polished out.
