Beautiful work my friend. Your English is perfect. I actually like watching either language versions. Your details are incredible, and your results are second to none. Gracias! (my extent of Spanish). With highest respect! Mike (Georgia)

I’m so glad I watched this, I’m about to make a soft top for my sidecar and you’ve given me so many great ideas, your English is very good and you make all the points really clearly. I’ve noted that the real experts are always self deprecating. Respect and keep the videos coming.

I'm thinking about buying a car from someone I know that had a small tree fall on it. Still a great title cause the car was paid for but it did mess up the back of the cars top of the car. I was thinking about cutting it oit and making a new top for it. Car would make a great summer cruiser. Thanks for posting this cause I know it can be done now without paying a ton of money.

Amazing and helpful! I agree learning by seeing can really help. Anyone who leaves rude comments about language is just ignorant. I'll make my convertible top someday.

Disagree about cost and quality. I've found there are three components to any product or service: cost, quality and time. You can only have two. So, you can purchase something if high quality at a low cost, but it will take a long time to finish. You can have something cheap and fast, but quality will suffer. Thanks for the video. Good information.

Your english is understandable. I don't think there should be a huge amount of customer preference when it comes to that rear bow on the convertible frame kit. There should be more of a concern for functionality in how the contouring of the material will be forced by the frame's position. (The bar attached to that rear bow where the window panel will be...also is affected by the placement of that bow. You don't want a top that does not flow well (not only visually...but even with the potential of creating a puddle of water on the top if left out due to frame placement. You are a good teacher....and I know there is so much emphasis on customer preference...but SOMETIMES...the customer may not know what is functional and that is why they bring the car to the guys that KNOW what works and why. Sometimes the top kit frame won't fold back correctly (if it is designed to fold back)the material is dictated by the placement of the bows and the seams can be stressed or the material can get pinched or rip. I have done work for people that demand a certain way for it to be done...only for it to come out to a job that (although done to their specific wants) did not end up functionally or aesthetically pleasing...which can sometimes create more money being spent on fixing what the customer wanted (based on miseducation or lack of knowledge)...and that money can either be spent at another place (if the customer felt that you weren't "good enough" to get it right the first time..(meanwhile the other place won't hear how you did the job to "their specifications")...or they may have you redo their job...but want a discount cuz the job required more work...but for same outcome... My only complaint on this video. Please take this as constructive criticism....you know what works well I'm sure....maybe this comment is not for you...but someone else.. May God bless you! 😇😎😀

thank you my friend for watching my videos. Do you have a good point my friend and I don't take it as a complaint. I totally forgot to mention that point on the video and I am glad you bring it out . I am pretty sure you understand very well convertible top on this kind of convertible top the distance rear bow and the plastic Windows side it's not going to affect the functionality of this convertible top. There are a lot of customer who want the rear bow lower. sometime we can do that without having any issue but there are some cars that if you barely move the rear ball forward or back when open the convertible top it would pinche and rip the material Some Corvette from the 1950-1959, 70ts and Ferrari from the 90s, Austin Healey etc)) if we don't pay attention to that part when fold will be a big problem . When a customer want me to make somea convertible top and I see it is not going to flow perfectly I refuse to do it. long time ago a customer want me to resew a backrest cover with the airbag and I refuse to do it because as you know it is illegal to resew I backrest cover that he have a airbag on it and he took me to the court only because I refuse to do it I at the and he lost but I waited time and you know time for us is money. And I am here doing car interior to make money not to wasting my time. Even some customer with a lot of money telling me "do it like I said it if I don't like it then you do it again and I will pay you again. " Money for then is not an issue even if they are wrong. I saw ford Siata convertible top with puddle of water, the causé of that can be two things when the person cut the convertible top frame didn't cut it correctly or the top it's not tight enough. my friend when a customer come to my place I give them the estimate they say it is so high so expensive. They take it to the other place where they charg so cheap at end customer no not satisfied with the job and they bring it to me to redo . Customer not always right. always always before to start something i make sure that his or her idea it's not going to interference with the functionality of the certain job. Once again my friend thank you so much for watch my videos I wish I can express better myself in English but I know for sure you will understand me. have a good day my friend and God bless you.

@@mecaupholsterytips .... I can't imagine being sued for not wanting to restitch over airbags.... Wouldn't it have been chesper for the guy to just replace with factory spec stuff than to spend money on layers etc? Maybe the gentleman wanted customizing done and not factory... It is challenging at times....standing up for the right thing to do....in a culture of instant gratification and entitled folks that try to dictate how to do things. I was told of a pilot that had a crash and the upholstery work had not been approved and the gentleman suffered unnecessary burns that he would not have if the materials used were appropriately chosen. I appreciate your videos! It does show folks that not everything comes out in 5 minutes...there is some work, skill, and time involved. Have a great weekend! 😇😎😀

Ford did not make a Model A in 1932. The last year for the Model A was 1931.
