How-to Make a Custom Doormat using your Cricut 

In this tutorial I will be sharing some Hacks to make this custom door mat a success in Cricut Design Space. I used a 24' cutting mat to make this project easier but it is still possible using a 12" cutting mat. Resize your images/words how you want them arranged on your mat. If using a 12" cutting mat you will need to type your words or images out how you want them on your mat then ungroup them. Regroup them in 11" sections or words. Then you will need to place each word on the mat that is evenly spaced and lined up. The other option would be take a square shape and size it 11.5 inches. Then make sure your image is welded then slice the image in 12" sections. Then you will need to place them exactly next to each other without a space before spraying them. Then cut out your stencil, I used Permanent vinyl but you can also use HTV. Once it is cut out then weed out the letters. Apply transfer tape then apply stencil to blank door mat. Use a heatgun or blow dryer to help seal the stencil to the mat as best as possible. Be careful not to burn the mat. Then shake you flexseal and spray this liquid rubber on your mat. Let dry 10-20 minutes. Remove the stencil and spray clear coat over the flexseal. Let dry 24-48 hours. Enjoy your new custom mat! Makes a perfect gift.
