Thanks so much for sharing your knowledge with us. I definitely wanna get into customizing images & this video answered questions i had in mind. Especially when it comes to photos.
What type of device are you using? Some options are not available on a smartphone over a computer. That may be the issue but not positive. Let me know! I will try to look into it
No I have not heard of those! I will have to look into them. Not sure if the cricut can print on a pen. You may be able to sublimate or use printable vinyl or stickers!
I bet if you use UV epoxy it would work that way. I haven't tried UV epoxy but I do know it cures very quick with a light. Not sure how you would keep it from dripping off though.....?
These are just a few ideas. So many factors play a role in your cuts. I find some images or fonts just don't work for me and I have to adapt. Best of luck! Thank you for taking the time to comment!
Yes I agree. They have probably gotten better but when I made this video they did not convert the image well into a workable SVG. This method is helpful in some circumstances. Thank you for taking the time to comment!
It tears white cardstock (any weight), but cuts other colors fine. I've tried both the fine point and the deep cut blades. I've tried different settings, including intricate, default, light, yada yada...It's driving me nuts. I need to use white paper yardstick and have spent hours trying everything.
@@kristenscricutcorner2258 I really appreciated that you took the time to respond, even if you didn't have an answer. I was using the same Reflections cardstock from all the videos for my project and that I was using for portions in color. After a dozen attempts playing with settings and blades and no success, I dug up some 20 year old cardstock from an old project and it worked. It seems to be something in the way the fibers of that brand are laid, perhaps. The dye also seems to help to stiffen/strengthen it in the colored versions. You can feel the difference in colored vs white, even though they are supposed to be the same weight. Anyway, THANKS :) Maybe my rambling will help someone else having the same problem. ;)
I apologize for that. I am unfortunately unable to change that in RU-vid without erasing and starting over. I have made sure my future videos have very little background music. Thank you for taking the time to comment!
Must be an update...... darn I will have to look to see if there are better free options not requiring credit cards. They definitely didn't require one when I did this project. Thank you for letting me know
Thank you so so much I was finding alot of cool and cute Svg but I'm afraid to use them for personal use because I want to start a small bussiness but didn't know if I could thank you for helping us new beginners out here
This is one of the most informative videos that I’ve found .. BUT, I just wish the background music wasn’t there. It is very distracting which makes it really hard to focus on what you are saying.
Do you have an air printer? Have you been able to print from other programs besides design space? Cricut design space troubleshooting suggests go to settings, unpair your machine and reconnect to see if that can fix the issue? Hope you can get it to work!
You can only slice two layers at a time. So make sure that as you are building your image you either combine or slice your layers as you go so that you only have 2 layers. Then the slice will light up once it is selected.
My lines are not dark thick lines and I used the very same dinosaur file. They are very light with gaps even though I am very careful when deleting the colors. There are small gaps that affect being able to contour the hearts out. Why is this happening? Also, you go too fast. I can hear a lot of clicking and you say do this but you need to show where that is that you are clicking.
Change you color tolerance. Adjust the level up or down depending on how thick or thin you want them. In most cases the lower the color tolerance the thicker the lines will be. I am sorry that I am going so fast. Thank you for the feedback and taking time to comment. I hope that helps solve your problem. I will keep that in mind for future videos
Sometimes the font is just too small/thin for it to cut well. It can also be your vinyl. I have found some vinyl stays on the backing well and others don't stick at all to it. Thank you for taking the time to comment!
Yes it definitely depends on the font and htv. I like to use thicker fonts just to be safe and decrease my frustration. Thank you for taking the time to comment!
No but you are limited on certain features and using their images/projects. Now they have limited how many projects you can save at a time. I have found ways around all of this so I personally don't subscribe.
