Yo, I watched this whole tutorial and loved how you explained everything! Just a problem, whenever I attempt to create a CGFX file, It says "The given path's format is not supported". Would love for a fast response, thanks for the informative video.
Weirdly enough, I've had this before, I think it's cause there is a missing texture, which in my case wasn't true. It couldn't find a texture that was in the folder with the track model for some reason. So idk the issue A way around this would be manually opening the track bcmdl and replacing the model, then manually applying all the materials etc...
@@ninmods402 Thanks for the fast reply! I managed to fix the issue by manually going into the .mtl file and editing out the file path in the notepad, but I've got another problem. When I try to open my custom track through CTGP, I get stuck on the white screen before the track preview. It might be due to the tracks complexity, but for now I'm attempting to open it through citra. If you want extra info, I used the "Stereo Madness" track from MKWii and imported that, so maybe that has something to do with it.

If possible for some help, I ripped a digital version of MK7 from my 3ds and im having trouble trying to figure out how to get a RS file, what software do you recommended to get said file? EDIT: Got the Fs file, but every file explorer is now being a pain and not allowing me to open it. EDIT 2: Fixed it myself EDIT:3 KMP is pain, also I realized I was accidentally using a model that already has a track modded in by this exact person. Textures wont show up and I am completely lost. I am once again asking for help

Will this method be able to work on CTGP-7 and if it does will it replace a normal track or a existing custom track? And can we make our own custom track on normal mario kart or CT or no
This will work for both, to get it to work on the vanilla game just put it in the correct romfs folder (Course) For ctgp-7 go to my stuff/Courses/ then make a new folder with any name you want and then place it in there ( it will create a new cup that is not usable in online )
