Welcome back to How to Make a Doll Wig! In this 3 part series, I will demonstrate in detail how I create custom wigs for my reborn dolls.

I'm so happy that I finally found a great glueing tutorial since everyone else is poking holes and sewing the hair. I prefer this technique so thanks a lot!

Have you ever used doll wigs with the clear caps? I saw some pictures of them online, but I haven’t been able to find any videos of them on a doll. I’d really love to see what they actually look like “in motion” I guess you could say; what it looks like when you lift the sides of the hair etc.

Thanks for correcting your grammar lol. You're way too intelligent to not speak grammatically correct. Huge pet peeve of mine haha. Thanks for taking the time to make this video and show how you do this. It's been very informative and helpful. Not just in making the hair, but also for knowing and understanding how it should look on a reborn doll that is already complete (when buying a finished doll). Why not? You baby doll will have LOTS of hair, if you're okay with that.

The problem with super glue is that it gets crunchy and can flake off. We don't want your wig to fall off your doll. You'll need a glue with a little flexibility to it, so Gem Tac or E6000 are good for that. Sorry :(

The smell of the glue never goes away. This product should be removed from the market.

I think there are glues that are almost as good as E6000, but I wondering as well. Some people can’t smell the glue, but for many it is a very annoying headache causing smell that never goes away. I can always tell at a craft fair who uses the stuff from many feet away.

Not at all! This glue is fabulous for tons of applications, it's a great Middle Ground between hot glue and epoxy, it's even heat and dishwasher proof and has saved tons of broken tea/coffee mugs! And that's when I'm not gluing bits of my car back together lol, making fairies with my daughter or using it for household maintenance! I get it that it doesn't smell great but pulling something off the market for that Wackadoo complaint is a bit much. Just open the window and do it quickly or wear a mask ; )

It also has a cancer warning on it. I read it in the store and I never brought it. I love to do diy's and I'm currently starting to reborn, but not at the risk of me and my family's health.
