Mine came out SUPER dull in the mold. The back side (where the air hit) is crystal clear but my mermaid molds made the inside super matte. I’m not sure what happened. Maybe it’s the molds I got?

Yes these molds give it a dull finish. If it’s shiny on the inside then the finish piece will be shiny. I found some clear molds with a shiny inside to give my tails shiny all around
