Here's a little tip, when it comes to attaching the barrel to the main body of the gun, instead of Velcro you could use magnets (strong ones though). It would probably be a lot stronger than the Velcro.
My only gripe with your videos is how fast you go between cuts, would be nice to have more precise information other than "cut this shape," "Make this thingy."
I love how these vids are so detailed if you ever feel like making another fallout prop you should give the pipboy 3000 a go because that's what every one wants
I would like to request to have a better detailed tutorial because many of us want to have the dimensions right, so not telling us in a very detailed way without even maybe a template or specific dimensions.
I must have seen the ending where you drink the nuka cola like a thousand times and still laughing it has everything death a fuck yeah ending and nukes!!! LOL
@@WilliamJakespeareProps Shall I cover all the foam pieces (including the foam core) with that watered down glue? And if I wanted to make the 10mm Pistol, would I follow the same watered down glue steps to stop it from absorbing the paint?
Make the Laser Rifles from Fallout. You pick the design and when I mean that i mean the original design, the fallout 3 version, and the tri beam laser Rifle.
I think putting the paint items on the "materials needed" list isn't needed, because some people like to make the prop and not paint it/they don't have paint/they want to paint it in their own way.
You know, Jake, with your tutorials, it's making me consider on making replica weapons from the transmedia game "Defiance" (which has a lot of awesome weapons). The show is pretty awesome as well and has a couple of items that would be good to make replicas of as well. Not sure if you've seen the show or played the game, but its pretty good. The show and game is co-created by Rockne S. O'Bannon (of "Alien Nation" and "Farscape" fame), and its set to come back in June. You should check it out if you ever get the chance. :)
painting could go a lot faster if you replace elmers glue with Plastidip, you can get cans on amazon, it's under cars and automotive usually and it's what the guys who made the gordon freeman suit used to ready the foam for painting.
dude love all your vids, but just for future tutorials, could you please, please please, I beg you to slow down with some of the portions? :D thanks in advance
like bethesda, the combat shottgun is one of the dumbest things in fallout. remember the the H&K CAWS from classic fallout? Nice prop though, you kickass at this.
the ppsh41 wasnt acualy shotgun it was an assult rifle it shot 5.56 rounds they where used by rusia in ww2 but its one of the most powerful weapon in fallout3 as a shotgun and if you ever find the terrible shotgun in evergreen mills IT WHOPS ASS ,but getting it is kinda hard because of raiders and a super mutant behemoth.(fallout power)
Are you kidding? Bring the barrle forward abit, the mag back a bit, make the mag smaller. Suddenly PPSH. They made this gun for the game inspired by it dammit
pause!!! WEAR GOGGLES WHEN CUTTING METAL WITH ROTARY TOOLS ( or anything that creates sparks), IF YOU GET ONE OF THOSE SPARKS IN YOUR EYE IT WILL BURN ITS WAY INTO THE EYEBALL AND HAVE TO BE REMOVED WITH A NEEDLE WHILE YOUR AWAKE AN WITHOUT PAINKILLERS!!! HAPPENED TO THREE DIFFERENT OF MY OLD THATCHERS!... trust me i'm a metalworker...
Dupa Krowa Don't talk shit until you play the game. Fallout is based a lot of 40's, and 50's culture and they did borrow a lot of inspiration from real life guns. I'm not sure if Bethesda took inspiration specifically from the PPSH but I wouldn't be surprised. But that is an SMG and in Fallout 3 it is a shotgun (obviously lol).
