master chief is a MK IV they are roughly 7'4'' tall, brutes are about 5'' taller (7'9'') most human males aren't much taller than 6' if that, so yeah this gun should be huge.... but MK VI Spartans (the ones in reach-set before CE but after the Mjolnir MK IV [master chiefs armour] program) are about 6'7'' so not stupid tall... yes the Spartan armour program does have the same name as Thor's hammer, which is why they can fall from space and be fine... wow that was long, wow im nerdy... YAY! =D
Diamonddusk6 Yeah they're huge. Even playing ODST if you pan down and look at one of the weapons sitting on the ground it looks about as big as it does in the video.
Dear William Jakespear, Thank you a lot for these tutorials. They have helped me make the Medi-Gun from TF2 for a con I attended ( I even got an award for the costume to). Keep doing your thing. One question, couldn't Modge Podge work as well for foam? I've been using that on my craft & EVA foam and it seems to work great for me.
consider that Master Cheif is around 7 feet tall or so, when he holds the spiker it looks like a large pistol when if someone like me (5'10") were to hold it, the gun would look much bigger
Excellent work! Feel free to take a bit longer with the explanations next time though. Not everyone on RU-vid has attention deficit problems. :) It'd be great to see you go through a bit more slowly, explain why certain approaches are taken. Cheers.
I don't want to tell you how to do your shit, as you're clearly good at it. But I saw you directly put the Elmers (PVA in Britain) on to the EVA foam and then brush it around. When coating the foam with the glue, it's far better to use watered down glue for a few layers and gradually get thicker. It sinks into the foam for those thinner layers and adds way more strength. Additionally, it will give you a far better top finish on which to paint! Hope it helps bud.
GUYS! This is a great build but coating the foam with elmer's glue is very arduous for something that can be done very simply with plasti-dip. The plasti-dip fills in all the foam gaps, giving the same effect for less of your time.
More TF2 props, but particularly the Force-a-nature and The shortstop, with barrel break action. PLEASE. THERE ARE CONS COMING UP AND I NEED INSTRUCTIONS FOR ONE WITH LITTLE TO NO ACTUAL WOOD. I'M SORRY FOR YELLING. :C
