Watching a video meant for grade 6-7 when you're in an upper division statistics course FeelsGoodMan i didn't help with my problem but thank u for the video, Ms. Math Mammoth
I don’t get where this is said to be for 6 and 7th graders. Really? We didn’t come anywhere near statistics in grade school, junior high or high school.
If you check Common Core Standards for 6th grade math, histograms are included. www.corestandards.org/Math/Content/6/SP/ CCSS.MATH.CONTENT.6.SP.B.4 Display numerical data in plots on a number line, including dot plots, histograms, and box plots.
@@MathMammoth in other words, when I was in grade school in the mid to late 70’s there was no Common Core and anything related to Algebra or Statistics was pushed to high school and/or college. I’m middle aged now, attending college, and just now taking Algebra and some Statistics, and I simply cannot keep up. Common Core is awesome but we still have a surprisingly large gap of adults who do not have these skills because they were not taught them. I sure hope todays kids are ready to tutor senior citizens on higher math?
