Thanks for sharing Wes! It turned out amazing and you're using my two favorite woods together. I maybe use them too often but I love the look. I'm curious about the bottom attachment. I saw that you used pocket screws but you were pounding the bottom in, almost like you had put pieces inside the chest to hold it in place. I'm just curious if it's free floating and you were pounding due to the tight fit or if there's some extra support in there. I couldn't tell by any of your pictures at the end.
I thought you did an excellent job on the blanket chest and it turned out very nice. The only problem I had was having to turn the volume up and down between your voice over, which was excellent, and the shop noise. Hope you take this as friendly criticism.
Great video. Do you have plans or a video of building the horizontal mortising machine. Or did you get the plans from some one. I think it might have been Mathias plans, or Garage Woodworks. Finally getting around to thinking about making one for my small shop. Thanks for feedback.
Love this. I especially like the woods you chose for that special two tone look. Sadly I think Maple here in the UK is a bit rare, sycamore however is everywhere and is also pale like Maple so I may well find myself having a go at this. Big thumbs up.
I came here from Jay Bates' Interesting Stuff From Around The Web #260. For those commenting that Jay would be proud, I would say that including this build on his ISFATW series this week, is confirming those comments to be true. You did a great job, and I have become one of your newest subscribers.
